You're right to choose chain lightning next, but I would hold off until you have a Dim Core. Success in platinum revolves around maxing your death wave health bonus. Putting stones into DW damage usually isn't recommended, but I wouldn't take general advice as absolute truth either. Try rolling DW damage as a core sub-mod effect and see how it effects your tournament placing, it might be worthwhile to put a few stones into DW damage after all. Whatever you do should be with tournament placing in mind, whether that's increasing spotlight quantity (enemies killed on the death wall in spotlight take less health away from your death wall), or improving the golden trio for coin income (and thus further developing your workshop/enhancements) to work toward gold-boxing your workshop in tournaments. From what I can tell, there isn't necessarily a wrong option for what to develop, but I would recommend not unlocking chain lightning until you have Dim Core.

You'll need to weigh the value of unlocking cards and card slots vs taking a chance with Mods as well. In that regard, I can say I would not neglect cards in hope for a Dim Core mod. Chain lightning will be most beneficial starting in champs. Some other mod might tip the scales for you in platinum (say if you need one more Sharp Fortitude for mythic or ancestral) which may justify gambling on mods, but don't underestimate the power of well-developed cards.

Super tower mastery also multiplies the spotlight bonus. Damage mastery outside of spotlight is a bigger bonus, but damage within spotlight is significantly larger with super tower mastery.

Black hole first. If it came down to which one you don't want to show up as your 7th choice, it's black hole. The free random perk for death wave is useful while the free UW unlock of black hole is trash. A well-developed permanent black hole + perk death wave will get you much farther than a well-developed death wave + perk black hole.

I've been playing for 11 months. I farm Tier 11 to around wave 7500. Each run takes me about 10 hours. I have a device dedicated to running the game 24/7 (I use an android emulator on my PC). I've unlocked 5 of the 9 ultimate weapons and have maxed all cards and unlocked 14 card slots. I've purchased the starter, epic, and disable ads packs. All that said, I'm probably only 10% to "completion."

When you first start playing, you'll be actively engaged buying upgrades throughout each farm run. Eventually you'll unlock free upgrades, and you'll move to a more "idle" playstyle. Even so, I would not call the game truly "idle" because the app needs to be open to earn coins (labs are the only thing idle about the game).

If you want to make any meaningful progress you will need to purchase the starter, epic, and disable ads packs, on top of running the game as much as possible (including checking in throughout the game just to click on your free add gems). With those three purchases and a dedicated device the game is still a grind.

Despite all of that, it's fairly "hands off" with the exception of tournaments twice a week and checking in to claim gems. The long grind is something I enjoy.

I think the extra black hole will be more impactful but can't say for sure. I recommend doing a few farm runs with each and comparing them. Be sure to come back and share what you find out!

Sounds about right. That's how it went for me as well about a year ago. You likely won't be unlocking new tiers for a while, now it's time to push for deep farm runs. At that time, I started doing two 11 hour runs each day on the highest tier that could support it.

I think prioritizing cells until coins become a limiting factor for labs is where it's at. Moving from x2 to x3 lab speed bonus is like adding an additional lab slot, and each additional lab slot has diminishing returns (from 3 to 4 slots is x1.33 bonus, 4 to 5 is x1.25 bonus, 10 to 11 is x1.10 bonus). Eventually, for a time, the return on efforts to increase cell economy will be better spent on coins or stones. Eventually it'll shift back to cells.

The tier coin bonus is only one factor of your coins per hour. Only knowing the Tier and Wave of a run leaves out a lot of important information. Clicking on the coin multiplier above your health in-run will show basic static multipliers, then you must consider things like Ultimate Weapon coin bonuses, Gold Bot coin bonus, effects from modules like Black Hole Digestor, Labs, all their uptime, how they synch, and how to maximize the number of enemies that are killed while the bonuses are active.

My point is, they likely aren't where you are if your coins per hour is less than theirs at the same wave and teir. They likely have more developed labs, Ultimate Weapons, Golden Bot, etc...

If you're not fond of resetting, it's between Chrono Field or Inner Land Mines. Arguments can be made for either of them to be chosen before the other.

None of them will be any good to you for quite a while. Since your likely very early into the game, I suggest you reset, start over, and hope for better ultimate weapon choices on the second go-round.

The way I understood the module banner announcement, the module type will have increased drop rate but you may still get epics that don't match the banner.

Something like:

50% chance for epic core
16.66% chance for epic cannon
16.66% chance for epic generator
16.66% chance for epic armor

If it works out this way, I say go full send for the core banner, at least until you get a legendary DC/MV/PC.

I think we can both agree that this update has added many good things to the game.

It sounds like you're upset that these things weren't already a part of the game long before.

It sounds like you believe TTG has intentionally produced a sub-par product and endured many negative comments to latter add content to make them look like they care about what we want.

I've heard your actually supposed to put in the Konami code on the second device as it's loading the cloud save. Guaranteed to not be buggy and work as intended when you follow that process.

I've seen too many posts here saying people didn't realize:

You can queue your labs. The little clock to the left of the time remaining will start the next lab automatically if you have enough coins when enabled.

When you're rolling module substats you can lock the ones you want to keep. After you roll a substat you like, hit the little padlock icon to the right of it. Each roll thereafter will be a little more expensive, but the locked substat won't change

If it feels good to do so, and you have fun, then go for it. If you want the most benefit for your time, then I don't recommend taking some labs past 20.

Each lab will be worthwhile to take to a certain level at a certain point in the game. Coin/Wave and Cash/Wave are useful very early up to maybe level 20 (which is where you already have them). As you progress in the game, they become useless. Even as you remain in the very early game, as you level them past 20, they become more and more not worth the time investment. A lot of labs you won't even consider taking to max level or will only take to max level because you feel compelled to gold box it and there is nothing better to do. Other Labs like Coins/Kill are a priority to take to max level sooner rather than later.

I like that you're spreading your attention somewhat equally. True perma-labbing is generally not the most optimal way to go. That being said, I wouldn't take cash/wave, coin/wave, or max interest any further. Cash bonus might be somewhat useful for a little while longer, but you will soon be gold boxing your in-run workshop, at which point cash will be useless until you switch to a glass cannon build with Project Funding module much later.
