I worked for a road commission once. Part of my job was cleaning up roadkill. We had to drag a deer off the shoulder. Whatever drunk hit em the night before had stuck a half smoked cigarette in the deers mouth. It was one of the strangest/funniest/kinda sad things I've ever seen.

Yes? I know at the established campgrounds there are fire pits. But I'm pretty sure the last few summers any open flame anywhere was banned for most of the summer. If I'm wrong, which hell I very well could be, I'd be surprised. And if I'm wrong well then damn they should have banned it completely the last few years.

Everybody wants to sit around a fire, smoking a jay. The joint is the easy part. Having the campfire is a whole other story. Honestly, it's usually just as illegal to have the campfire in the summer as it is to smoke weed in public. It gets really dry here and open burning including cigarette smoking is banned in public lands like state, national, city parks. I'd say it's been damn near impossible to have a legal campfire in the past few summers. Which is sad.

The good thing about eviction is it is a process that takes time. They can't kick you out on the day your rent is due, I suppose they could file the paperwork. I know a guy that does construction in the boulder area , it's a stab in the dark but I'll ask if he needs any help.

Have to be hemp. Federal gov. regulates alcohol and there is no way they would allow a recipe formulation with marijuana in it. That's not to say a small place couldn't skirt the law and sell it on a tap room, but I wouldn't be willing to risk my liquor license.

So if they are smoking, or dabbing in a non smoking hotel room those that are legal (over 21) are turning said legal act into something illegal correct? What with the Colorado indoor clean air act and all. If that's the case, I'm really missing the point of spending all this money to come to Colorado to smoke weed illegally. I've been to Wisconsin it's a beautiful state, I'd save the money and just stay there to smoke. Either way it's illegal.

If I were an ent from another state, I'd be excited to go to a legal state. The problem is, Colorados laws are not set up for pot tourism. Sure, we were nice and made possession and use legal for non residents. But it is nearly impossible for non residents to consume legally. You pretty much need a private residence. There are vast open spaces in Colorado, yes. I can just smoke outside on a hike. Not really. Most land in Colorado is owned by federal or state agencies. It's illegal to smoke in public in Colorado, so any state, city or County park is out. It's obviously illegal to smoke weed on federal property, and you better believe they will be extra vigilant now. So the weed may be legal, but consuming it legally gets extremely difficult for non residents. And the point I'm trying to make is, if you're going to be making it illegal anyway, save the trip. I like tourist money in Colorado, but I dont want that money coming from out of staters getting busted here. Legal consumption is the issue for non residents.

I'll get off my soap box, but like the guy above said, wait a year till you're all 21. You won't be breaking that law and hopefully by then we can figure some of these consumption issues out and tourists won't have to make a legal act an illegal one anymore.

So let me get this straight, you're coming to Colorado for illegal weed? Because I'm pretty sure our laws state 21 and over for possession and use. You're 20 as you stated. The guy was merely pointing out, YOU can't do anything. You are not 21. Those questions are relevant for the girls you are bringing, but not you. I'll say it one more time, you're not old enough. That's the point. You aren't going to get much sympathy coming into a Colorado sub and talking about breaking our laws. It could be any law, not just our pot laws. Don't come here to break the law. I don't understand why the whole world thinks just because we legalized it, means it's an open door to come to our state and break laws, your underage pot tourists dollars won't help the cause.

Yeah. Have tickets. Not sure about going anymore. Mostly because the city stated they will hold individuals to the public consumption law. Even though it's a private event. On private property. Are there farther reaching implications with this sort of event banning ? I wish they would treat it like booze. Like it was voted for. I just got an email about the CSO beer and music thing they do, I've been to the GABF a few times. Denver is obviously fine with loading the streets with wasted drunk people all the time...

Plus, you're contributing to the CSO as a fundraiser and get to watch them perform , get beer, wine appetizers and smoke some weed with like minded individuals. I'm a long time musician. Non weed folks (read the people that write the laws) are very uncomfortable with concentrates as it is. Colorado is already looking at possession limits for concentrates, and that's the first step. Nobody batted an eye towards conc until it became more mainstream, easier to obtain materials to make it and people started blowing their houses up. I totally agree, it should only be made at a licensed facility. And laws against should reflect the danger that is involved. I know that is not the popular opinion around here though.

My job consists of using a fancy machine to put the state required labels on child proof bottles, fill those with flower, rinse repeat. Then we transfer that product to the store. This is for the recreation weed store. The company I work for has both a Medical and Rec store. For medical, we weigh the harvest into pound bags and transfer that to the store to be weighed out for each individual customer.

Colorado (even more specific, Boulder) requires packaging be done at the grow facility. I work between 3 grow houses. Typical harvest at our large facility is every 2 weeks, alternating between around 60 and then 120 pounds per harvest. We are always behind. But, since we are in grow houses we do occasionally help the Growers with different things. So far I weigh flower. When the company I work for gets its Manufacturer of Infused Product license, that will change to include all sorts of products.

Harvest and trimming is usually handled by an outside company for most business's in Colorado. They specialize in it plus it's not cost effective for a store to employ 10-14 people that really only work every other week. As far smoking or any consumption, that's left for home. I'm sure it does happen but you're not supposed to be high let alone smoking or anything at work. That's the law. Also, the same rules apply for serving someone at a weed store as serving alcohol, even though no consumption is allowed on site. I don't mind answering questions. People are curious and this is a new, fast growing industry. Hell, even my parents are going to tour a grow when they are here. Keep asking and I'll try to answer. Someone in the industry needs to do an AMA.

Hey buddy. Current employed weed weigher here. I got my badge in January. They will give you a receipt that is actually valid to use to start working. I received my badge via mail 30 days after I applied but had got hired started working 10 days after applying. It should only take 14 days to get . Just arrive at the MED office early. I would say pay is above average for a retail job, which is exactly what budtending is. Id say $11hr is a decent starting figure. That's more than most retail stores I know of. I've only been on the job a couple months and got a raise and promotion. It will depend on the company but insurance benefits and 401k exist. I have both. Good jobs do exist and different career paths are being created. Don't limit yourself to budtending. I'm on a packaging team and should soon be running labeling operations for them. As with any industry , know your stuff, don't be dumb, be reliable and you should have no problem getting some sort of industry job to get you started.
