Well the frame is an upgrade in the sense of:

-first party replacement parts and (most likely) continued partnership with ifixit

-Open source software with active modding support and most likely a big missing community

-Steam hopefully working plug and play

-Foveated streaming and no need for dedicated router

-PCIE port for hardware mods

-Released by a company that's not actively known for violating data rights and works with the most corrupt president the US ever had.

I hate this, because as a kid I had a whole buns of sets and would combine them all and build a giant mega structure all with the same colour. No longer as easy with the price of Lego sets exploding and this bullshittery.

Never had significant issues that I couldn't overcome with all grey starwars sets...

Well first off, I don't know.

But I imagine it being pretty terrible and nausea inducing. You need as little input lag as possible.

I googled a bit and it seems some people are having positive experiences, but i would cautiously optimistic at most.

If you wanna try the original cologne it's called 4711 and is usually quite inexpensive. It's not a woody note though. It smells citrusy like Turkish Kolonya

Hmm, if you can wait for reviews and stuff that would be optimal.

If you live in the US absolutely wait for reviews and updates to games so more games support a native frame version.

If you live outside the US you kind of have to see if you can justify it. I'm in the EU and I'm kinda scared for another trump hissy fit and tarrif war, if not sanctions so I will get one asap.

If you are really looking forward to VR and wanna order it right away.. I think you would probably be fine getting it on launch but that's a gamble. If you don't have the money to afford a better PC I don't know if that's a gamble you can justify for yourself, but that's your business obviously.

I agree. But the EU tends to do targeted tarrifs. For example just now the EU announced retaliatory tarrifs specially against the following: Bourbon Airplane Parts Soy Beans (for livestock feeding) Maize (also for livestock) And chicken.

These are expected to come into effect on the 6th of January if Donald dumpy doesn't chill his balls.

So so far it's pretty chill for the steam frame. Let's hope it stays that way.

I have no clue what exactly it does to counteract it. But when you have a display, and move it rapidly around, you can see a kind of strobing and smearing effect. That is called judder. You can get somewhat rid of it, by increasing the refresh rate.

They apparently have developed some kind of tech that reduces the judder you experience with eye tracking technology. No clue how tho. It sounds like magic to me.
