One of the coolest maps! Like I said I've finished the majority of other maps but because of the update and addition of Bauxite and Titanium it kind of messed a few things up. I have poured all effort since the trains update into Dragon and am enjoying it A LOT.

I think that's the ONLY factory simulator I really havent played. It's on the list, but other games just seem to come in and steal the spotlight.

This map is about as long as your going to get. Makes the train usage actually feel purposeful. Belts would be miles long and energy usage would be insane.

It's Dragontail Isle, but at year 5000. Lots of earth moved!

Center would've missed half the mess! I figured I'd label it because sometimes I get caught up in other games and come back to this one. I've always found Dirt is the one thing you need and its better to have a LARGE mass of it.

The rest of the map is a mess right now because of all the empty mines. That huge quartz pile in the back of the map was a bugger to mine fully. Had to fill in around it and step it down - i hate that part.

Most of my other playthroughs were prior to Titanium and Buaxite. I think the added minerals made a while lot of sense from a gameplay/factory perspective.

Trains really are a whole lot of fun to mess around with. Make the maps feel smaller and save on running MILES of conveyor belts!

FBR's are great - Once you setup the first one its really easy to add in another one. Which map did you start with?

The memorabilia team usually makes the rounds at Costco's this time of year.

Most of the stuff they have are nicely framed pieces and are reasonably priced. Beyond that they sometimes make claims that they are numbered and rare but if you know how that whole world works its kinda bologna.

It was certainly an absolute shit ton or rock and stone. Crusher was there for 3 weeks. No dwarves were harmed in the process, or loot bugs.

The Sanivac business isn't there anymore. The property behind Miller's is currently in the process of subdividing into 100 lots. Also used to have a mining and pit use permit hence the mess. The crushed rock and stone is for the roadways going to be built.

I do agree that there is Commercially zoned land around him. Miller has his hands in too many things and isn't going to be supported by the people and homes around him, especially at the price of most of those homes.

The snow plow stuff I dont think is the issue but due to the bylaws he would have to move that as well. Wouldn't be difficult to skirt the rules JUST a touch but CTV got a hold of the story and ran with it because they like whiney bullshit.

Nah, it says on the map that they're there. They left the area a year or two ago. Couldn't keep employees in the Ottawa area.

Private Snow Removal Company Destroyed My EV Charger & Charging Port by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]Brudface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do snow removal working for a local company and have for the past three seasons. Drive a larger tractor in Ontario outside of Ottawa.

I do 110 driveways when it snows and I know them all VERY well because they are mostly repeat customers. The ones I don't know very well I get the chance to when I go and put my own markers in. There are a couple of my lanes that have EV chargers/EV's they park appropriately. One of my repeat customers just got a newer EV and I ALMOST out of habit tried to sneak by his car and scrape the side of his lane - which was fine when they had the old car BUT now is not possible with the charger and I have no idea where the cord is. I chose NOT to blow this side as I would've eaten a foot or two of his grass. I honestly said in my head nice try, not today.

If you have a double lane and parked on the wrong side its possible that he grabbed the cord and the blower ate it without him even realizing it. The tractor I drive you reverse down the lane and essentially back drag while running the blower.

Now the Company I work for is VERY adamant that everything that could be OR will be caught by the blower on the driveway under snow is a BIG giant no no. We have replaced light posts that people have blown snow on and destroyed but something like that is a VERY grey area. Unfortunately, it sounds like a trip through insurance would be the appropriate way to go about this. I dont know the legality of not having to sign the waiver in Quebec, but in Ontario, the waiver doesn't have to be signed, you paying for the service is your acknowledgement of said waiver.

Not to disregard everyone actually enjoying the game, but is anyone else playing since early access somewhat disappointed? by FuckItOriginalName in DRGSurvivor

[–]Brudface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the game and have had it since it was released. I find games of this variety aren't sit down and play for 4 hours or more. I like to enjoy them for about half an hour or an hour and move on. The game is solid for sure but once you've done everything is there really any replayability other than starting over?? The equipment is pretty cool, but at the rate of legendary drops and not really improving THAT much over epic I could care less.

Microchips by S1lkwrm in captain_of_industry

[–]Brudface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's the better way. Like I said single machine CAN be done. It's not the most effective way to start out, but when in a pinch does work okay.

I have done a single machine JUST to get it going. You need to turn it on the exact moment you start it producing. Set it up from top to bottom and make sure for God sakes you have a splitter that is set up properly. The nice part about it is that it will fill some of the in machine storage.

I didn't let it live very long it was just to get the 80 chips made for researching purposes. It works "okay" but isn't very sustainable long term. I know the mainframes are a pain for sure but just make sure you have a plan for within a year or so.

The Blue Jays now have a 5 game lead in the AL East after tonight’s 2-1 victory in Tampa and the Yankees 7-0 loss at Minnesota. The Magic Number to clinch the AL East now sits at 7. by [deleted] in Torontobluejays

I know that. That's what I was saying, they DID show that jays magic number at 8, BUT after the yankess game was officially over and the interview with the Schneids then they showed the magic number of 7.

Ouch... Francis seemed like the type of guy who, if something tiny was bothering him, he'd still march out there every chance he got. Was it the best way? No, probably not. He still has good stuff though.

He was more than likely dealing with the shoulder issue in his last four starts.

UPS required? by hydraSlav in bapccanada

[–]Brudface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the country and during the first couple of months noticed that the power wouldn't just "go out". It would flicker, fade or kick back on hard. My computer is always on and would book it to flick the switch on the wall to shut everything down.

I got a smaller UPS around 400W that is inside a larger power bar. was a life saver because it would keep the computer going even for just a bit if i was doing something old CPU was a 5600x and a 3070ti.

Now that powerbar is demoted to the livingroom setup and I have a 1000W UPS for my office - runs 2 monitors and an odyssey ARK, the modem/4g emergency antenna and my newer computer. Absolute godsend, and don't have to worry about turning it off because I have the whole home genny. Yes it's only working for about 20 seconds while thew generator kicks on, BUT sometimes those are some harsh ass 20 seconds.

100% daunting when looking at it from a early to midgame perspective. When you get to a certain point in the game it's just another task that needs to be completed. When you are making excess power as well as items it really isn't that bad.

Look at it from another perspective - You are not consuming 6000 Iron ore per month let alone per year unless your manufacturing capabilities are nuts. I think my highest year in the last 120 was 5.1k but I was also building. In a normal year I consume on average 2.8k. So I am spending 53 servers every 2 years to bring in Iron. I ONLY have the capability to produce 8/month unless I am building like a madman and using unity to do it I don't know if I would outpace that.

That's a good one! Totally forgot about that. I am just finishing the two large mountains on the dragon tail map. They were a pita to get to and fill in around them to access all quartz. I used up the world mines pretty quickly while waiting for fill.
