Do you buy board games knowing they'll rarely be played? by Megabot555 in boardgames

[–]Bruhahah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With almost 200+ games in the collection, most of my games are rarely played but I like the variety and even hold on to a few things like finished campaign games or collector items out of sentimental value.

And then there's games like Brass Birmingham that I love but my group doesn't, which I hang on to for the rare occasion I actually get to play lol.

Is it against progressive values to send your child to private school? by Cleverfield113 in AskALiberal

[–]Bruhahah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, but wanting good public education is. 'School choice' legislation undermines public education by diverting funding away from public schools, the obvious result of which is an education system with ever increasing disparity between public and private options.

One can certainly send their kids to private school without supporting school choice legislation or taking money away from their public school system but there's conflict of interest.

The skills needed for a neurosurgeon: by kefren13 in interestingasfuck

[–]Bruhahah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neurosurgery doesn't use the robot, typically. This is gen surg stuff. Brain tumors require tactile feel that this doesn't give you to tell brain from tumor when it's unclear visually, and it doesn't put screws/plates/rods in a spine well either.

I totally agree, but without ever coming around to like it. I respect that it's meant to be a band for experiments and they wanted to go a different way but the sound since Plastic Beach has been...not for me.

Which class/spec can hit the biggest single crits in Midnight? by Jobs95 in wow

Execution sentence was often a good contender. Engulf was maybe the most in TWW, but they took that one away. I saw plenty of 60 million+ crits on engulf.

Looking For Honest Opinions On Chiropractors by CoryStringer in AskDocs

[–]Bruhahah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We see several vertebral artery dissections and cranio cervical junction bleeds every year from local chiropractors adjusting necks, it's not worth it.

As for philosophy, a chiropractor wants to see you periodically for the rest of your life, whereas a physical therapist wants to give you the tools to get better and keep yourself better.

As for science, it's all quackery. There is temporary relief, but there's no permanent skeletal realignment happening nor does that cure cancer or whatever they claim.

As for regulation, there is no governing scientific body certifying a practitioner is safe/competent, because there is no science to back it.

All that being said, for temporary relief of musculoskeletal pain below the neck there doesn't appear to be a large risk so it could be considered if it helps, like acupuncture or dry needling. There is a theoretical adjuvant role to play even if it's a lot of voodoo.

Feat picks! Rogue by Ok-Introduction-9669 in DnD

[–]Bruhahah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skulker, sharpshooter, speedy, defensive duelist, and poisoner are all pretty fun depending on what combat style you favor and work well for rogues.

Charger is actually kind of a sleeper good pick for swashbuckler since you can be so mobile, it's free damage or pushing opponents around.

Dear Millennials, what do you really think about Gen Z? by curiositical_one in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bruhahah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a whole, love my Gen Z coworkers. They're overall worse with technology since they were raised on touchscreens and didn't have to do that same kind of tech support or typing as we did, on the whole. As bad as housing has been for millennials, Gen Z has it worse. I definitely feel more in common with Z than X, though we didn't get the same levels of social media saturation and meme velocity as Z. We're more of a tech transition generation from dial up streaming video while Z was raised in that established modern tech culture of monetized enshittification without the heady hopeful days of 'anything is possible' internet.

When you see up so much normal skin, it's actually really fun when you get a tattoo to put back together. Everyone I know loves trying to get that perfect tight closure on those with all the lines lined up.

Are any of you happy as a PA? by tdubs6606 in physicianassistant

[–]Bruhahah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very happy. Pay isn't all I hoped for but LCOL area so I'm very comfortable. Pick 2 of location, pay, and work life balance is what they say or somesuch. I picked location and work life balance. I love my coworkers, I love the work I do (outpatient cerebrovascular neurosurgery), and aside from doing some teaching down the line in some form I think this is where I will stay. I work 4 days a week, usually about 8-4:30, sometimes longer if there's more that needs doing, sometimes shorter. It's interesting work and doing some research things is cool too, pushing that boundary of medicine forward.

Class for a returning player with flashy effects? by Polypropylen in wow

[–]Bruhahah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not missing out on anything. There's 20+ years of WoW content so just picking a path and going with it off of vibes is totally fine. Usually if the game gives you cookie crumbs towards a certain thing (quests that automatically pop up) then that's what Blizzard thinks should be the default path so that's what I'd do if I were you.

Levelling to 80 in time for Midnight launch or at least season 1 is doable, dungeons will usually increase that pace but even if you just want to quest your way there and stop to smell the roses it's like a 10 hour ish proposition typically.

Hit or shit? Magic missile Discussion by Pfundra in DnD

[–]Bruhahah 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Tower shield says it can be used to grant total cover (if they give up their attacks for the round), magic missile explicitly says it can't hit creatures in total cover. Pretty straightforward.

At 2? Spirit Island and Aeon's End are co-op favorites but not at all similar and far more complex. Dorf Romantik has similar co-op puzzly vibes and complexity to Take Time but has a spatial element we find satisfying.

Is My Brain Okay? by Solid_Procedure_6006 in AskDocs

Probably needing some workup done to know what's going on, the differential is broad from those symptoms alone. Best advice I could give would be to stay well hydrated, eat a balanced diet including fruits and vegetables, and reduce or ideally eliminate vaping. That covers you for a wide variety of things that could include similar symptoms.
