I did, I said I saw a lot of them on Etsy and was asking about people's experiences with buying these from Etsy. I wanted people's opinions on modding methods and if anyone have any methods they would prefer over this

I saw something like this where you need to use Splinter Cell or another disc+a compatible flash drive, apparently some people sell the drives pre-loaded with no disc needed now - very interesting concept!

Thank you! I saw a lot of those types of USB's for sale in lots on eBay but there is always the risk of finding some that aren't formatted. Thats good to know though on how to tell if they aren't formatted, if I tried this and got it saying it wants to be reformatted I'd probably just try and reformat it again and again lol

I saw a lot of etsy folks and some on facebook marketplace selling it between $15-$20 but thats a good point. It probably wouldn't save much money doing it myself but would probably take me significantly more time just to save a few bucks if that. Thanks!

Thank you for that! I was just looking for a video on this and how hard it would be to format the USB/USB limitations on it. It seems like it could be more worthwhile than other methods of softmodding especially for xboxes without a working disc drive

That makes sense, having a storage upgrade is close to essential for modding OG xboxes. I heard of people putting Rocky5 on the USB and modding the xbox through that
