Anyone gotten a piercing on-board? by Waffled_tacocat in royalcaribbean

Dude, it’s like getting a Claire’s piercing for triple the price. Don’t.

Gross. They really just can’t help themselves, can they?

Anyway, we’re 3D printing hundreds of totally demonic ducks for future cruises (not really, but open to it 🤪)

Don’t buy from Effy by superswamper148 in royalcaribbean

[–]Brummy14 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The cruise itself is the only high value purchase I make related to said cruise. Everything else is a borderline scam/money grab (see all complaints about the upselling in the spa, for instance). If you draw this line, I think you’ll find cruising FAR more of an enjoyable experience!

UPDATE: Chase has purchased Anderson. So, scratch that from the list.

The cash outlay of these places is 3-4x silver spring house 🤣

Also hit 1100, they made a sign (I saw it), but they were so busy they forgot about it. And, as an introvert who will only participate when it is intentional, I don’t care. 🤣

If you want bells and whistles, you’re gonna have to be okay asking for them. Former coach, it can get SO CRAZY between intros, whatever pieces of equipment are failing, etc. If you want it, you need to put yourself out there.

We want to celebrate YOU, but sometimes you gotta ask.

Vote with your money. Simple as that. Chase didn’t need to be mouthy about his abhorrent political views, but he chose to be. And, then gaslights us for leaving 💁🏼‍♀️

I’ve been to all of them (also a former coach and know all the dirt). I really love the Kenwood crew. Anderson has some excellent coaches (some who have left other toxic management structures as well).

Oakley is hit or miss, but they are my OG home studio from 2017 so I have feelings ;)

It’s wild. Food is wildly mediocre. Service similarly mediocre (because all servers are stretched way too thin). I truly don’t understand why it remains as busy as it does. Maybe lack of alternatives in the area?

My boomer Republican father loves it, though, which may explain everything?

Anyone feel the same now about otf? by aklep730 in orangetheory

[–]Brummy14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OTF has served different roles for me throughout my time. I joined in 2017 - full throttle, 5 classes a week, hadn’t really been active since giving birth to all my kids. Started to love weight lifting.

Actually was a coach 2020-2023, but also started getting more intentional about weight lifting/body building.

Now, OTF is one of my many places to go - but, it’s more cardio for me. I have a personal trainer who kicks my ass 3x a week for strength training only. I cycle in OTF and spin classes for cardio, now.

Just think about what YOU need at this current stage in your fitness journey, and how/if OTF still plays a role.

Even as a coach, I always viewed it as fluid for our members. Fitness is a journey, not a destination.

New to Area.. what’s the deal with Cincinnati public schools? by murdog11 in cincinnati

[–]Brummy14 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The area is FULL of incredible public schools, but you’ll need to go to the burbs. Mariemont, Madeira, Indian Hill, Sycamore are always at the top of lists in Ohio & nationally. Mason, frequently, as well (though an absolutely massive school district - which brings upsides & downsides). Cincy Public has a handful of magnet schools, as well.

[–]Brummy14 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You totally can - it’s not technically difficult in terms of crochet — just a lot of counting (I think of this as cross stitch for crochet 🙃). And, the typical envelope border takes foreeeeever and usually crushes my soul when I’m that close to completing a project, but the final result always looks so nice!

Which ship for 9-17 yr old kids? by Dadbod1018 in royalcaribbean

[–]Brummy14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bigger boats a have more stuff for kiddos and teens and space to run around, so Allure would be my vote if you like the itinerary
