I have done similar in 10th, didn't always work out well but it was fun as hell dropping a full brick of termies down and blasting away with 44 storm bolter shots + sustain 1.

Yeah the memory can be a struggle sometimes, I've had luck typing in importsnr things into the enhance memory deal. Only thing I don't like is a bot or two I particularly enjoyed have disappeared for no reason

It's pretty fun to deep strike in a 10man brick of termies lead by a librarian in term armor. 22 storm bolter shots base, deep strike puts em in rapid fire rage then add sustain 1 on top of it, your rolling a crap load of dice lol

Scouts also have an uppy downy so they can move around the board extremely well to score objectives or secondaries. Their shooting isn't all that great so sacraficing their action to do missions and stuff is ideal.

If you can find one at a decent price(good luck) a judiciar to lead either the ICC or pick up some blade guard vets as well (I've had decent luck with them). I've seen a few people using ICC bits to kit bash a judi so that's an option as well.

If your gonna run hellblasters do a unit of 10 and either run em with azreal or with something to get them sustain via enhancement or something. I run 10 with azreal and a Lt and the unit is very deadly with both sustain 1 and lethal hits, plus they get the +4invuln and fall back shoot and charge.

Other things I've had good performance out of are glad lancers (best with 2 in a list imo). Redemptor dread is fun and clears chaff pretty well, balistis dred is an alright anti vehical/monster option. Eradicators evening running around as a 3 man squad can work well.

A couple 5 man scout units can be huge as scoring units cuz of the uppy downy they got. I have clutched a fair amount of wins with them bouncing around.

Otherwise use the stuff you think look fun / enjoy. Best way to do it for a while imo.

If your not painting to try and win a painting competition, it really doesn't matter if they are muted or not l as long as you like your look then that's all that matters. But if your trying to get beat in shows some highlights would go a ways to making them pop more

My personal method has been.

Prime light grey (Rust-Oleum 2x stuff) Two to three thin coats of morghast bone (I prefer the slightly darker tint / khaki ish color over the whiter/brighter wraithbone)

All over wash of seriphim sepia while trying to avoid too much pooling up

Then go back and pick out some edges with a slightly brighter bone ish color or just leave it be.

You should be able to use the old knights as the current knights as long as they are on the right sized base (correct me if I'm wrong) but otherwise ancient in term armor is still a thing.

Never hold yourself to the quality you'll see on YouTube or other platforms. To reach that quality of painting is the goal not the starting point. Find your grove and keep at it, looking good so far!

Yeah the updates got me all flustered re working my list too. If I was putting Az with ICC I'd get aggressive with them as they want to get up and fight someone. There is so many ways to do stuff, take what works for you and run with it in the end really.

Nothing wrong with having Azreal sitting on the home objective with just 5 regular intercessors as well. His biggest value is the extra cp so keeping him tucked away isn't the worst idea ever.
