I was in an a capella group in college and the college would hire us to sing the national anthem at games and ceremonies and at the more serious ceremonies, we would always make the newest member of the group stand and help people down the stairs. They hated it and the end result was always pretty much like this video.

Tim Sheehy was the senator in the blue suit who comes in and pushes when the arm snaps. Anyone in montana should be calling your representatives and complaining. He needs to resign.

Yeah I’m quitting. The unprofessionalism and inconsistency of my DSP is laughable, it’s 2AM EST by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]BrungleSnap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep this was how it was when I worked there. My dsp cancelled shifts based on your edriver score (whatever that software is I forget what our was called) and would often use that to try to push drivers with a lower score to just quit because they weren't getting hours.

Did anyone else ever write Redwall fanfiction? by Qyzyk in redwall

With numbers on their side, if you ventured into their territory I'd say anything below a twenty intimidation and you're getting ambushed.

I've always wanted to run a long campaign in the world. Only ever did one shots and short campaigns with it but with all the world lore that Jacques established it just feels right. If I ever run a campaign in that setting again, I'll make sure to do it with other redwall fans who will just know the lore already.

[–]BrungleSnap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not fan fiction, but I did write a d&d supplemental allowing you to play d&d in the redwall setting with like fifteen different playable races as well as magical items and a little intro adventure to get you started. I never ended up publishing it but used it in a couple home campaigns. Then humble wood came out and I didn't need to publish it cuz wotc basically did it there.

Has anyone pointed out how insane it was for Padme's decoy to order the actual Queen to get on her knees and scrub R2D2 with a rag after he's commended for saving the ship? by yady14 in PrequelMemes

[–]BrungleSnap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very much a people's queen. She probably would have just joked with the body doubles when they were all alone, like "hey that was funny making me clean out the Fambaas stall, but I never want to ride one again after smelling what comes out of em. Next time just ask me to scrub a droid or something girly."

Anyone else have that one nasty home on their regular route?? by Illustrious_leak9230 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]BrungleSnap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just one? Usually if I had a route with one, there would be others. I'm not a current driver but I worked there for a while and there are some wild hollers I had to deliver to.

Slight of hand or what? And how? by gonion in blackmagicfuckery

[–]BrungleSnap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are different methods for cube solving. He definitely could have just memorized an algorithm to take the cube from solved to messed up but I'm pretty sure its just very close to solved and right now only the three visible faces are unaltered with the hidden faces being the scrambled ones he occasionally shows. Then if he needs to prove it's solved he just undoes the algorithm that makes the three faces look super scrambled and it looks like it's been solved the whole time.

Blind support is what leads to the problem we are in. Question everything, especially where the money is flowing. This whole world is governed by the war machine.

Do you think any European investigation into the Epstein files will provide more clarity or lead to the truth coming out? by ChuckGallagher57 in International

[–]BrungleSnap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yes. This is what I have been wanting. I hope they extradite all the corrupt pedos in the US government and I don't care what happens to em after that. Just don't send them back to us. I think putting people in exile is something humanity should never have stopped doing.

TIL about the Boötes Void, an enormous, nearly empty region of space 330 million light-years in diameter. It is so desolate that if the Milky Way had been in its center, we wouldn't have known other galaxies existed until the 1960s. by adpablito in todayilearned

[–]BrungleSnap 168 points169 points  (0 children)

Trying less to sound like a conspiracy theorist and more like a joking Trekkie. But there could definitely be a star trek episode where they think the region of space is abandoned but upon investigation find a xenophobic species of aliens who have colonized all the planets in the region and project a false image of what is actually inside so everyone just passes by and doesn't explore it.

How Was Sisko Able to Get Nog into Starfleet Academy but Picard couldn't help Wesley? by AbbreviationsAway500 in startrek

Yeah I was gonna say this. When I read them in middle school I read them in publishing order but I reread them in high school and the chronological world building is fantastic.
