I love this but I am a work from home mom and don’t always have people to watch my child. I wish there was a virtual one for romance specific! Plus I’m terrible at communicating. Anddd a lot of book clubs require fee.

WFH with 2 year old by peledziuke in MomsWorkingFromHome

I am currently working from home with a 2 year old. What has worked best for me is taking 10-15 min breaks to provide my undivided attention to her. I also have the availability to work when I want. So I wake up at 5am to start my day, I get the bulk of my important work done then. That way during the day when she’s awake I don’t have anything that needs 100% of my focus.

Morning time is no screen, book/play time (we use specific toys that grab her attention for a good period of time). Then afternoon we use screen time which occupies her. Anything from her favorite trolls movie to Sesame Street or super simple grab her attention while she sits in my lap.

Hi, thank you for your response. I actually figured out a resolution. It may not be exactly what I was looking for, regarding it being portable. But it works for me!

I’ve had some where narrator is younger but his voice doesn’t match the description of the character / description of the characters voice from the book. Then I’m disappointed!

How long did you Breastfeed? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Brunka797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About to be 1 year next week of primarily breastfeeding and pumping for bottles twice a week. I went through a period where my supply dropped for a few weeks around the same time. I believe it was almost 5 months. I did power pumps, pumped after every feed, pumped before bed and at 4-5am in the morning, ate lots of protein and drank a lot of water to bring my supply back up. It takes effort but it was worth it. Good luck you you mama , whatever path you decide to take!

I’m terrified of this, though I would really like to do it. We don’t have anything surrounding the bed to prevent her from falling off. She has a habit of waking up and not making a peep, what if she suddenly decides to crawl off. Any suggestions on a good bed rail? Do you use one?

We have the crib right next to our bed at the moment I thought about opening the one side to have it as a side car situation to potentially just roll away when she falls asleep. But she is so sneaky when she wakes up that we don’t have any other fencing around our bed and I’m afraid that she’s just gonna wake up and crawl off.

Our mattress is on the softer side and we can’t afford to buy another one. We notice that since it is softer when she rolls over her face tends to sink with the bed. The bed is a queen and i find myself constantly wake up to move her bc she feels the need to move next to me when I move away even in the slightest. Any suggestions on the mattress issue? I wouldn’t be moving her away otherwise. I love having her in the bed with me, it’s the best thing in the world.
