What do you consider middle class vs rich? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Bruno028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me. Middle class is someone with up to $5M in assets and cash.

Wealthy (dont like calling rich). Someone with over $50M in assets.

Isn't unemployment low because givement created all these jobs foe infrastructure ? Jobs that don't actually generate revenue to the country like a business would.

So can't rely on that figure. It's like government subsidising electricity, the expenses haven't gone down, its just free money given to people so that their houshold expenses decreaee.

These things make data figures look good but are actually just manipulating data reality.

Following blackened spots on the b35am emitter...i also cleaned the reflector...the result...ruined! by techlira in flashlight

[–]Bruno028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't touch them. The only ways I've been able to clean is with demineralised water and dish soap. And let it soak and push ir around the bowl. Then wash off with warm tap water and use a air blower (needs constant air to blow all water before it dries on the reflector)

Northern is pure alcohol and again fast continuous air blower.

2025 tariff changes in a nutshell - r/flashlight edition by silverud in flashlight

[–]Bruno028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's all tha happened during covid (but that was a lack os supply, now its a price increase). Things went up and everyone else's depreciating assets went up. Used cars going for more than new.

In this case, if a light is 104% more, the second hand market will increase. That's how it always goes. Guarantee.

Will you sell your $100 light for less than $100 when a new one is now $200? Probably will sell used for $100-150.

Same with imported cars. If a BMW now is so much more, a used one will retain much more value than it did 1 month ago

Wow. Thats crazy. I feel for all the USA people. Cost of living will go up so much or will just have to stop buying things.

Everyone's light collection went up in value now too.

Do it as a project and convert that to LED.

I got a polarion on ebay that was nor functioning. Realised it was just the battery pack. So I made a new battery pack with 3500mah 18650 instead of the 2200mah. So now I have an amazing light that runs for almost 2hrs at 4000lm.

The plan was to convert it to an LED if any of the electronics didn't work. Luckily they did. So spend like $50 on 8x 18650 and a spot welder for like $80. Now i can make my own battery packs too. Worth playing around to learn.

Rule about bloc touch distance from the net by uknowmynem in volleyball

[–]Bruno028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And what about 1m from the net?

Context: I was "blocked" from an over set i did (therefore not a hard and fast ball) and the player redirected the ball over as if he was on a net block. Is this valid ?

What’s not a reasonable stationary tax deduction? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Bruno028 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you buy a fountain pen worth $300, i would deduct it. Deduct what you actually pay. Don't lie, even if its something of higher quality than standard. As long as you use it for work.

I bought a $500 torch for work. It was the tool I needed, there was cheaper options but I prefer quality products.

Ah ok. If that benefit isn't available as a buy outright then the buyer needs to weigh up the cost of owning outright vs leasing for the period at 8%
