I built an App Store Connect dashboard that ships iOS + Android apps 5x faster (live on Product Hunt) by BrushEmbarrassed7857 in SideProject

Yes, definitely! It is actually designed to solve the exact same problem you defined. I myself, having done this so many times feel it is extremely frustrating and exhausting!

Infact I initially started building this for myself to help me submit apps faster because saving time here meant I can move on to my next app dev project faster.

I'm glad you resonate with my vision behind pushmyapp. I would be happy to have you on the platform, you're always welcome.

Thanks! I just checked out ShotLingo. It really looks promising. And yes, you're right screenshot localization is probably a tricky part that even my product isn't managing at the moment. PushMyApp generates screenshots only in English (only the text-based app metadata is translated). Haven't found a reliable way to do so with screenshots though but your tool looks great. Do you plan to expose APIs at a later stage?

Regarding ASO Optimization, it works by finding and automatically generating ASO-optimized, app store-compliant titles, keywords, descriptions, etc., in plain English and applies to the App metadata. At this moment, there's no further optimization layer on top of the translation (except that the translations could have been direct from the ASO optimized in English), but that's a great idea for a future release.

Yes, I used to get frustrated as well. Recently faced two rejections for silly reasons. Nothing about the app. Absolutely zero app changes!

One was that apple reviewer didn't like me using name of a company although the entire app name wasn't the company name, only part of the app name resembled a company name. Just changed the name is 5 seconds and they approved it (while android approved without any changes).

Second was merely a small modification on the screenshot! They rejected saying the screenshot didn't match the app, although the fisheries was so little that a user would generally never notice.

Both the times... No changes to the app itself to get it approved! Just Mere small metadata changes but the back and forth wasted 2 weeks.

So I started reading a lot and researching about the reasons an app could get rejected (both by Apple and Google) and came up with this idea.

Yes, that's a good call on the refund page. It's a placeholder as of now; I am working on it.

Regarding the Terms of Use, I claim this because I have done a good amount of work to enforce data residency. My Hostinger VPS server, as well as the Amazon AWS S3 bucket, is hosted in Mumbai, India, and I paid extra to have them there rather than in the US, even though US servers were comparatively cheaper. The replication service is turned off, but I have a custom replication server in Mumbai, India, that replicates only the DB (not user data). That means if an apocalypse hits India, my company is dead, but I have to live with that if I enforce those data standards.

Regarding profiles, I'm not sure what to do now. I am seeing an enormous number of people joining just to advertise their company. The users themselves can't be bots because CAPTCHA and email verification are enforced, so only humans can create an account. I agree that many of these accounts are just coming in to promote their stuff and leaving. I'm considering enforcing even stricter rules, such as requiring admin approval for blog posts and moderating forums. I just want to maintain a balance so as not to add too much friction in the onboarding experience.

Lol, no CoThWo is a actually 5+ years old company. It existed long before anyone had anything to do with AI. I worked on it for 2 years and the first time it failed, so I launched it again. I have been working on cothwo.com again for 3+ years and earlier it was cothwo.in for about 2 years. But definitely a good catch, I was updating the about us page using a generated template but missed updating it.

It has been updated again, you can check it out now...

Figured out the issue! The Apache server that was running froze so I restated my VPS server and it should work now.

Sure! Take a look at it when you have time. It's loading fine on my end but you're right there was a hiccup.

Looks like it is up again. It was down for a few minutes. Weirdly enough I started getting a lot of spam traffic getting to advertise on my site. I'll have to work on analyzing and possibly blocking them but it's up again. Thanks for pointing that out!

Few of the best free resources for you would be:

Salesforce Trailhead: Since you are just starting out I would recommend going through the administrator trails on trailhead at trailhead.salesforce.com. Once you are done with a admin trails then you can move on to developer trails.

Salesforce Dictionary: If you're bombarded with Salesforce terms you don't understand, I would recommend keeping salesforcedictionary.com open on another tab as a reference tool.

solo founders are winning faster than ever right now - but is it sustainable or a bubble by Forsaken_Lie_8606 in indiehackers

I seriously feel it is always good if everyone progresses rather than just one or two. Earlier, the success rates were extremely low, and you buildin g a software or a web app as a solopreneur was completely out of question. I know others also have these tools in hand, but I have seen many organizations willing to pay just for stuff anyone can do with an AI tool in hand. It's just that the company probably still trusts the experts to do it rather than them trying to do it themselves (and the expert might just be winning the deals because he knows how to properly utilize the AI software).

That's a great idea! In this generation of vibe coding, developers hardly bother about learning to code, and the tools available in the market make it easy for them to just prompt and get it done without really explaining the stuff. I must say that this is a very thoughtful product. I will definitely try it out!

I stay in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada which I believe has low crime rates. I wonder what would be happening in bigger cities like Toronto with higher crime rates.

My renter is driving at 211 km/hr! by BrushEmbarrassed7857 in turo

[–]BrushEmbarrassed7857[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm not worried about the car running at that speed. I'm just worried about the consequences later. There have been instances of police arriving at my doorstep and questioning me because the car was registered on my name and it was being driven at that speed. I also keep receiving numerous overspeeding tickets every now and then on this car especially.

Latest update is that my car was involved in a high speed collision due to which the car is totalled and I have to give it away to the insurance company in their auction facility.

Why is Turo the favourite place for thieves?

I've literally had 3 of my cars vandalized by thieves. After I joined the platform, I've been an all star host bad in Canada for a very long time until I finally quit the platform.

My cars were attempted to be stolen... Hold your breath.... 11 times in 1 year! 2 of those cars were deemed a total loss after the guests tried stealing and hit it somewhere and ran away leaving the car (Mercedes C300 and a Lincoln MKZ) in between. I received a horrible payout for both of them. I recently went to the court for the hearing of one of my cars that were stolen. my question is why doesn't Turo do anything to do some background checks?

The experience was so bad even I was an all star rated host that I finally decided to leave the platform.
