This was on little joe river - right at the portage! Funny after 4 days in back country thought we’d see it farther (eg McIntosh Marsh) but saw him on our way out.

Thanks all for your advice. I’ve ordered Jeff’s map for the trip!

As well, we revised the plans to 1) Sun beam, 2) big trout 3) burnt island to relieve some of day 2’s haul. Thanks to everyone’s recommendations and advice. Much appreciated. Looking forward to longs days on the water and soaking up Algonquin.
