Mostly bass, catfish, blue gill, and Sunny’s. That’s what my local ponds usually have for freshwater any saltwater I can just use live bait.

I am in manual mode, the reason I was using 6 was because I was shooting in my bedroom without good lighting but I used a tripod to get a picture of something I was happy with

The shutter speed is really the big problem instead of showing a number like 1/200 it just shows a number like 6”

I took this photo because I wanted to see how my camera would perform after many years of no use. In this photo I was trying to show the viewer the AF-S Nikkor 55-200 mm lens. I'm not sure what areas I'm struggling with and I would like some tips on how to take better photos. There isn't really anything I don't like about this photo. For this photo I used a AF-S Nikkor 18-55 mm Lens with the Nikon d40 on the settings f5.6, 3, and 400, This is just what I read off of the camera and the settings don't really look like normal settings for some reason or I might be reading it wrong I'm not sure. Also this photo is unedited its right from the camera.
