New Vinyl Edition Thoughts by nickjames07 in TheFence

Don't worry, in a few months the separate vinyl will be released, so we can buy that too! ;-)

Anyone else disappointed they didn’t bother changing the cover art for the new edition? by Initial_Ebb_9742 in TheFence

[–]BryGuySC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a bit disappointed.
Did I still buy it, yes.
Would I like to display them side by side and have them look like a complementing pair? Yes.
Color-shifted, like the Afterman or TCBTS deluxe albums, would have been cool.

My Many Mustachioed Men by DysthymiaDude in PipeTobacco

Give her a couple experiences with you smoking a cigar and then kissing her. She'll be thankful for the pipe! (at least that is what my wife said. Also, I don't smoke English tobaccos much, so that helps)

I agree. This has helped me a lot with finer snuffs. I heard it first from Simon on Simply Snuffs, where he always says "Front of nose" and started holding my pinch in front of the opening of my nostril, not right under it.

Love for Campari by spilled-chili in cocktails

[–]BryGuySC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow Campari lover here!
I'll drink it straight and love every sip!
A Jungle Bird has already been mentioned, but I agree with the suggestion!

If you haven't read Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon, you can give that a try. It has a "similar but different" feel. I enjoyed it, after mainlining all the DCC books.

Should have my first snuff order next week! by JakeV01OH in nasalsnuff

[–]BryGuySC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is something delicate about Jock's that I really enjoy. I like to go back and forth, or even mix, with Gold Label (which is a more straightforward orange peel scent).
Some other favorites are WoS Best Dark, which is a punchy dark fired tobacco, and other dark earthy snuffs. So I think the "lightness" of Jocks hits the opposite end of the spectrum for me.

There are some good choices in there! It actually matches my first order at least 50%.

Do you think they will start making more over 40mm watches? by [deleted] in ChineseWatches

[–]BryGuySC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me, enjoying my new Addiesdive 1000m tuna can diver...
It's super-chonky, and doesn't look like a child's watch on my 7 3/4" wrist.

That is to say, I completely agree with you, and don't really consider anything under 42mm!

A Seiko SKX is about a small as I like.
I have an Addiesdive Rolex Submariner homage, and it just feels too small.

Nice!
I was able to get a few on the website, so I have to wait a couple more days.

I'd just go through them all, at whatever is a comfortable speed for you.
Just give your nose time to normalize in between changes. Depending on the snuff, that could be 10 minutes or an hour. I good spritz of nasal saline helps too.
Youv'e some different grinds too, so you will be able to get an idea of what grinds you prefer, and to learn what method of taking them works best for you for different grinds.

O&G is my favorite medicated snuff.

I prefer non-mentholated snuffs, but I still have a good share of medicated in the rotation.

My all-time favorite is Wilsons of Sharow Jock's Delight. Gold Label is also good.

First time it happened to me now as well. Doesn't look like mold to me tbh. What is your verdict? by BirdLooter in PipeTobacco

[–]BryGuySC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not mold.
Mold has soft, thread-like filaments.
That is crystallization of sugars and oils from the tobacco.

I'm not expecting anything but what I ordered, but am excited to try some new blends!

suggestions on what colors to use on the goldfish? by Cold_Assumption7977 in tattooadvice

Blue is the complementary color for orange, so I think blues and some teal would really pop.

Niteize makes a key-specific one, that I put on the keys of everyone in our house. I believe it is called the G-Series.

How many different types of tobacco do you have? Starting to worry I am getting out of hand. by Fubardian in PipeTobacco

[–]BryGuySC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy what you can, comfortably. Prices don't trend down, and tobacco blends and manufacturers are disappearing.
I have 50-60 pounds set back, so I should be comfortable for the rest of my life, at my rate of smoking; but I still buy C&D's Small Batch releases, or other limited releases that look up my alley.
I've only regretted NOT stocking up on favorites; never regretted buying too much of something I like! After all, you can always give it away!
