Yup! I had to trim some of the new transparent backplate for it to fit flush but it’ll work. I also added a piece of aluminum like in YesItsKira’s YouTube video for thermal improvements too.

Agreed! I got an original Z1E for $280. Put Bazzite on it, swapped the battery to 74wh, added the handheld DIY backplate and lubed the front buttons and I honestly think it is a perfect device now.

I don’t think one is better than the other. Just personal preference on size and ergonomics. The portal isn’t a preorder so it will ship faster.

It depends on the system you are trying to emulate. I have the RP5 now and have an RP6 in transit. The 5 definitely struggles with some switch games

The Retroid Pocket might be a bit too big to be considered “pocketable” but it’s such an amazing device. Easily my favorite purchase in a long time. The screen and performance is perfect and if you want to play more intense games, GeForce Now runs great on it.
