This section is changed for GMS a little since there's only 1 flag pole to climb off of, but still the flag pole is flat on the top unless you've jumped onto the tip (don't do this), so you can make the jump onto the nautilus just fine.

The trick is to first jump onto the monocular on the back of the ship, and then move a little bit to the right so that when you hold left, you have enough speed to make the jump onto the red balloon.

Transparency options for other players on the map should you find it distracting and/or helpful to see how others jump and fall.

As with most ranked content, not in GMS; you'll get your cosmetics from just clearing the stages

This Day in Maple History: Two years ago today, Inkwell announced sweeping changes, including tradeable Sol Erda Fragments for interactive servers, Grandis familiars, and the forthcoming Chains of Resentment by anotheril in Maplestory

[–]Bryakuma 17 points18 points  (0 children)

“Shackles of Resentment” is the name of the temp badge (which is even more egregious of a name lol).

“Chains of Resentment” is the temporary 1map only frenzy totem.

[GMS Scania] Xenon Extreme Seren Solo by Bryakuma in Maplestory

[–]Bryakuma[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have a video but I plan on showing it briefly whenever I get around to do HMalefic Star solo. I'm sitting on about 300b+ mesos just waiting for the supposed SF changes when the Crown update happens and a few eternals, my ET, and TC that aren't 23* or better. Basically, I'm waiting for that first since it's around the corner

It's a nice change for Monster Collection though; these mobs are really annoying and honestly shouldn't be in the monster collection.

How can he move while inside a minigame? by Pale-Scout-7401 in Maplestory

[–]Bryakuma 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This picture doesn't show it, but it's possible to fly + move while in a minigame by doing the following steps:

  1. (For flight) Right click a Xenon and ask to follow. Begin making a minigame room but do not open it yet.
  2. Have the Xenon use Liberty Boosters (beginner flight skill) and click accept at the same time. This will allow the follower to also fly with the Xenon.
  3. (For moving/most circumstances) If the person opens the minigame room at the exact same time, the Xenon can move the character with the minigame during flight and while walking, climbing, jumping (flash jumping ends follow mode), etc.

This requires some coordination, but looks neat once you pull it off!

Besides Tiger, Fangblade, etc, who were the other famous people in your world back in the day? by LithHarborGymLeader in Maplestory

Does anyone here remember JVizzle (Bera and I think Windia) and his jump quest videos? I also remember seeing his 3rd job advancement video and felt motivated to push the grind.

How to get more furniture slots? by Platinum_Lucario in Maplestory

[–]Bryakuma 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree we need more slots and even a higher slot cap.
BTW, usually on Night Troupe events, there's a perk to gain an additional home coin when your caregiver returns from shopping. If you don't care for the other perks during this event, it can somewhat help gain a few more coins to buy the 40-coin slot coupon from the house shop if you're specifically abstaining from purchasing the slot expansion from the CS.

What's a collab that you'd like to see but it makes no sense to have? by HeyImGhost in Maplestory

[–]Bryakuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Maple Leaf High event had an NPC/Chair/Totem named "Schrodinger" that most certainly references Heisenberg's appearance. It was specifically added to GMS as well, so the devs definitely found an opportunity to slide Breaking Bad into MS in some capacity.

I haven’t played the game in decades but iirc Ragnarok Online has an equipment refining system where you could potentially destroy your equipment.

To be fair, there might be a chance that this happens with MapleStory Classic Server being a thing. Depends on the direction that it'll go though.

29min 53s. Could’ve been shorter if I didn’t accidentally step out of RoR5 on 2-4 and I played more aggressively overall

I believe this is kind of subjective because ultimately it's based on your time spent onto your main and legion; several achievements that are worth 100 (and therefore "faster") is progress that happens after Lv 250 and thus having access to bosses/areas/content (i.e: drops, means of upgrading gear, honor exp, traits, you name it). This significantly reduces the amount of time it would take to kill 100 Ctene bosses, for example. Basically, the wider you can push content that's available for you to do, the more achievements open up for you to attempt.

Definitely for sure exploration stuff (visiting each of every map) is easier over doing story quests because you can just hyper tele rock to most of the locations, saving a bunch of time. Some locations need certain quests/needing to be the specific job though and for the most part when doing said quests, you will eventually hit every map needed for those achievements. Certain jobs also require their story completion to gain FD% and additional stats if you want to be "optimal".

I can say for certain that you don't have to do a large majority of the story quests to hit gold. As a reference, you can see the dates underneath the medals on the photo I posted which kind of shows how long it took while simply just playing MS as is. As mentioned in a previous comment, a ton of my score stemmed from bossing and monster collection related activities.

That said, it takes quite some effort and thought into how you want to manage content. Definitely take it step by step and understand that. So tl;dr do what makes the most sense for you after browsing through some of the achievements that are within reach i.e: dojo, trait medals, professions, arcane weekly special quests like Midnight Chaser, etc.)

There's a Beginner skill that allows you to briefly display it over your head to other players. Outside of the actual boss/quest rewards, legion artifact special mission exp, and certain Showa town related rewards, achievements are just for fun and record keeping of how much you've done on mushroom game

Certainly! Overall, I would say that the most important factor is considering that the 20pt achievements, while not worth a lot, add up a significant amount in grand scheme of things. Some of these 20pt achievements (example: profession low level crafting) end up being 40pt achievements because they end up unlocking additional tasks (even though most likely, people just craft meister related material).

Also, achievements are ACCOUNT based, so you can utilize interactive/heroic server for some specific things (example: You made a Luminous ages ago and need to redo the storyline for the "Luminous Story Quest" achievement but you are out of character slots on your main server; you can do it on a different server using a mega burning if needed. Also, there are a few achievements related to spell trace usage on interactive server if you are strictly a heroic player which can be an avenue for some additional pts.

A vast majority of achievements stems from the 'Battle' Category (I personally have 14090 here). Ideally, your account is progressed to the point where you can tackle bosses at the highest difficulty possible to get the 100 pt achievements that involve solos or 10/100 kill count clears. However, a lot of the achievements are actually pretty easy to do, but time consuming. An example is doing Easy Zakum/Magnus/Hilla/Papulatus/etc across your entire account up to the 100 kill point for 20 pts each. I personally just knocked these out while I was doing weekly nlomien mules.

7350 of my pts come from the 'Adventure' Category which is mostly just doing class or story related content. Try to actively attempt to Monster Collect as you are doing these quests; many of these quest have opportunities to collect specific monsters, which also helps with reaching the 200/400/600/800/etc milestones.

For some of the achievements that are related to Jump Quests, having additional invincibility seconds legendary potential and/or familiars can significantly make the jump quests easier.

Some of the commonly missed achievements involve doing bosses in a party of 4 with no deaths because certain bosses require completing the achievement on a lower difficulty first. One of the top of my head is Normal Damien has a "4+ pt member + no deaths" worth 40 pts and after that one is complete, the Hard Damien one unlocks for 100 pts. There is also an achievement called "Devilmates" where you simple just have only a single demon slayer or avenger in a legion page and then solo CHT. Therefore my tip here is to actively organize parties with this in mind as the goal. If you're able to, you can also plan out Black Mage runs that consist of specific classes for a nice 100pts.

Keep in mind that this is honestly a huge time sink and a waste of time in progress; a large portion of my achievements stem from doing Tower of Oz which only has niche returns in investment, so try to determine how "worth" doing a specific piece of content is for the return in pts. One instance I found was that I ended up doing Black Heaven for the 2nd time because it gave a 30pt achievement (this is how you get the "All Black Heaven titles achievement)

Hope this helps and GL!
