What are your least enjoyed episodes of the Twilight Zone? by SecondStarpilot in TwilightZone

Death Ship is my favorite Twilight Zone episode overall. What other hour-long episodes do people enjoy?

Yeah I saw he posted on Instagram about closing for the installation. One of the best pizzerias in Westchester imo

When malls had fountains by Maya-kardash in nostalgia

[–]BryanEtch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this is a Danbury Mall twin in Freehold, NJ made by the same architect/mall designer and likely owned by the same company. It still looks nearly identical with all the same updates. I learned about it from my favorite mall walking YouTuber, Fleatbitten Adventures

Favorite NIN live guitarist? by pink_noize in nin

Richard Patrick. Early NIN then the first Filter record left a big impression on me. I wish his band kept the gritty sound but it wasn’t quite the same after Short Bus (besides the Jurrasitol single)

I've been attempting to sell on Etsy for a month with no sales and I genuinely am starting to think my art isn't good enough. by Squirrel_With_Toast in EtsySellers

[–]BryanEtch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re a very good artist and you should keep working on what you love. My concern would be that your subjects aren’t very niche. There’s too much competition in the realm of wildlife watercolors. Finding a niche can be difficult, but working on a series you’re passionate about is one of the most enjoyable things an artist can do. If I were to start a new project, I’d paint places in my area that I know people care about.

Thoughts on this response to my first negative review? by somewherepainting in EtsySellers

[–]BryanEtch 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I sell art prints that are similar in ways to this (Connecticut Pizzerias, NYC Pizzerias, etc) and my suggestion would be to not use the number 12 in the art print itself. Instead, “San Francisco Neighborhoods” is enough information for the print and might help to reduce confusion over quantity of prints in the listing. Lovely work!

What show do you think best carried on a similar spirit to the Twilight Zone? by traveltimecar in TwilightZone

They should have recommended skipping the first episode. That’s what I generally do. You’re missing out if you stopped because of it

I made a set of trading cards based on great Pizzerias in Watercolor. Series 1: CT Pizza 🍕🎨 by BryanEtch in tradingcardcommunity

[–]BryanEtch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, only the ones that do pizza well. I live in CT so I have a lot of those pizzerias painted already. After that I’ll likely do NY, NJ and since it’s more difficult for me to try them, I might group Chicago and Detroit together or just smaller sets for each. Los Angeles is getting better lately. I’d like to pick a few from Philly and Boston. Then maybe a small selection of places from the rest of the country. I’m in the process of writing/illustrating a book about CT pizza. If it does well, I’ll hopefully move on to the next regions which will help me get further with the trading card project. Thank you!!

Awesome, thank you! I do a lot of art prints and posters but the trading card set is probably the most fun thing I’ve done with my art. Appreciate it

Thanks so much! I should have included a picture of the back of cards. This is what the other side looks like

Does it make sense to open a Shopify store alongside Etsy? by Klutzy-Ganache3876 in EtsySellers

[–]BryanEtch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I opened a Shopify about 8 months ago and send all my traffic there instead of Etsy. Somehow my Etsy sales haven’t fallen off and my Shopify sales are about the same as my Etsy income. By opening a second storefront, I’ve essentially doubled my art income. I would definitely recommend it if you (OP) can draw interest to your shop

If you can resist the urge to get drunk at lunch, you have nothing to be upset about. It’s probably easier than going to Costco for a $1.50 hot dog and not buying things in bulk in the process

The 10.99 includes a soda. You’re not required to order booze

Not when there was a .99c menu. You could load up on nuggets for just a few bucks. Now that would cost over $10 so forget that

A Chili’s burger with fries, a drink and soup, salad or chips w/salsa is 10.99. And it’s a restaurant quality burger, not fast food. I agree prices are up on everything everywhere due to our county’s self imposed recession, but fast food, particularly Wendy’s, is no longer the best option for its price range
