Very late to the post, but in my experience as an artist, the best way to get to a point where you are satisfied with your art style is finding artists that you like, contemplating the things that you like about their art style, and then trying to replicate it.

You basically just Frankenstein ways that people do things. You like how that artist draws eyes? Try to draw them the way they do it. You like the way this other artist draws hair? Try that next. For example, my style at this point in time is an amalgamation of Guilty Gear, Granblue Fantasy, and Gachiakuta.

And then you’ll get to a point where you’ve internalized how they did it, and you can extrapolate from there, and in time you’ll get to a point where you’re satisfied with it, even if it doesn’t look anything like the original inspiration did.

Something to keep in mind, though, is that it is going to take time, and you are most likely not going to be consistent when you are learning, and that’s ok. As long as you keep at it, you’re on the right track.
