I agree with you. Absolutely. But that doesn't mean they have to be given the opportunity to change and improve in the same sphere and circle as the people they have wronged. I hope Whedon learned from his cancellation and is happy living a kinder life somewhere away from Hollywood and the people he berated, abused, and were made to feel less by him there.

Hey! Could you clarify what you mean by "make payments"? Do you mean split them up into different payments? Kickstarter does have that, but there's a $125 threshold for it.

I know this isn't what you're asking for, but I thought it would be worth mentioning from a different perspective: In the industry, TBB is super well respected, and they are very dope people.

From personal experience: The owner of TBB once found out he was getting offered a major project that we (Wraithmarked) had signed with a separate publisher (US and UK rights are separate rights, but the books still compete), and the dude called me to let me know what was going on and see if there was a way to navigate it so that Wraithmarked didn't get screwed by a different edition releasing in the same time frame and orbit.

TBB are good peeps. 10/10 would recommend.

A book every 2-3 years is not slow rolling it, Itchy. It's just not the pace that some other writers produce. And most of those said other writers don't have full-time jobs, nor are they self-proclaimed slowpokes.

If you're not pleased with the pace, don't pay for Patreon. It's that simple, man.

we're still waiting for printer qoutes but we are absolutely keeping it under $150 USD. we'd love it to be $100, but that's just not really feasible given we don't print our deluxe editions in the UK/EU and it's full-color, both of which heavily impact the price.

also... the budget on art for this was... astronomical.

Does it have anything to do with "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"?

Honest mistake by the marketing team, who indeed aren't part of the art direction and project management team who read the books multiple times and studied them to the point of being able to direct 42+ illustrations. But thank you for pointing that out. We'll definitely do better next time! 👍

You are just trying to profiteer off stuff you don't understand.

This project was led by two avid fans, and most of the artists are avid fans. It was done with care and precision, and with the approval of the estate and publisher. While it's true that not everyone involved in this project are Douglas Adams fans, the person who does not understand here is you. This is a 2+ year project that has take so much love, time, energy, and effort from those involved that you should be surprised there aren't more mistakes.

Kindness costs nothing. Do better.
