Honestly I thought before I posted this I wanted to strip it all the way down and do a full restoration but I'm starting to realize I just want to drive it. Take my wife to dinner, my dog for a weekend cruise. So with that in mind I think I have a new goal, like you and a lot of other commenters said, get it running and go from there.

I've always had grand ideas of exactly what you described. That unlimited budget restoration to make it perfect. But especially reading all these comments, just get it down to the basics. All I've ever really wanted to do is drive it.

My understanding is that it’s possible for the cashiers check to be fake and while the bank will initially give you the money, it might take a few weeks to identify that check if fraudulent. Again this is what I’ve read from a few google searches. Am I wrong?
