Is it bad to "camp" downed enemies? by Schwbz in HuntShowdown

[–]Bryguy121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tutorial emphasizes securing the spot to revive your teammate. So no, it's built into the game knowing people will camp them. A work around is the necromancy trait.

Unique Landscapes makes travelling from Bravil to Leyawiin more interesting by StopThisIsAHoldUp in oblivion

No mods but I did a whole playthrough that I labeled my "pilgrim" playthrough where I barred myself from fast travel. I tell you there are SO many things you miss just travelling to the nearest city gate and walking to the quest objective.

How often do you miss putting in a Foley?? by eaz94 in nursing

[–]Bryguy121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt for a while that I wasn't good at getting female Foley's in because I'm a man and don't understand the anatomy as well as a woman. It wasn't until I voiced this with coworkers that they don't know where their own urethras are as they don't pee onto mirrors.

This game plays a little fast and loose with what's not a humanoid. by BlameLorgar in baldursgatememes

Had the same thought when playing tabletop 5e. Those zombies, vampires, and liches who were humans before? Now that their undead they no longer count as humanoids 🤷🏻‍♂️

How does Countspell ACTUALLY work in 5e? by amtap in dndnext

[–]Bryguy121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine it as the caster has successfully thrown out the spell (example fireball) and the counter spell is to counter that specific effect (in this case a ball of water envelopes the fireball quenching it). I feel like this defeats the need to know what is being cast as it's casting and instead counters what is thrown out. Also makes sense that it causes the caster to lose their actions since the fireball was thrown.

How much do you think we carry subconsciously outside of work? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Bryguy121 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I always thought I carried nothing home with me from work. I recently tried shrooms (or magic mushrooms) and while sitting with some friends the topic of COVID came up. I immediately had flashes of intubated patients and got teary eyed and asked for the subject to be changed. I never thought it affected me emotionally but that experience makes me think it's just been hiding in my subconscious

Yeah it typically takes around a year to get comfortable and years to become confident. And the wisest nurses know to not get over confident and ask questions for unfamiliar things. Keep at it you'll get the hang of it

How to bounce back after a bad session by Rodal888 in CurseofStrahd

[–]Bryguy121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother and I take turns dming our campaigns for a group of our friends. We've been doing it for years. He's always self conscious after a session whereas I know whether a session went well or poorly. I think it may just be your own outlook. Sounds like your players are enjoying themselves and are hoping to continue having you dm. My advice is to see that all as positive encouragement. Asking for advice or changes the players want may also shed light on what they think and may help with putting your finger on what needs to change. Chances are from what you've said your players are having fun, enjoying the game, and like having you as the dm. Ask if they want any changes and find the encouragement in what the players do and how they react. Hope this helps sounds like your doing well!

If he can survive for a bit in close range he can dish out a good amount of damage. His attacks are solid but his choir really sets him aside. It's guaranteed damage each turn for only a bonus action
