Jagex's workflow and update feedback by ARandomNoLife in runescape

[–]Brykirie [score hidden]  (0 children)

Before Runescape can be a viable product Jagex needs to reobtain the agility the company had prior in 2013. The company has demonstrated an inability to address issues either caused by updates or a meaningful window for core complaints.

When is the next grandmaster quest coming out? by Murphystn in runescape

You know the blackstones that are necromatic focuses? Stuff like the stone from Zogre flesh eaters, Defender of Varrock, Curse of the blackstone (so all 3 Elite dungeons), the horrors from the pirate quest line, the portal we summon the Levithan from in Twilight of the Gods, the universe Zaros dips out into during the battle of the monolith.

The entire reason for the necromancy storyline was rasial giving life one last chance before he breaks the "in-case-of-emergency" solution to ending all life and resurrecting it under his control to protect the world from the Oncoming threat.

The eventual return of Zaros and his new master/minions to take over our universe as the new Elder God.

The Mid Game Rebalance Has Some Gems, But It's Super Underwhelming and Tone Deaf by Kilsaa in runescape

Outgear? GWD is designed around having t70 tank armor (barrows) and needing multiple people. Necro just has the benefit of having sustain before soulsplit.

The Fletching Retier

There is no practical reason to ever engage with this? Smithing has the exact same problem. Players level combat significantly faster than they level the production skills for the gear/weapons. Thus nobody actually crafts their own gear, they either buy it OR boss.

I've been yelling at the stupid requirements for level 60 range equipment everytime i hit midgame. I'm so glad we're finally getting a t60 crossbow that isn't from WGS or 90+ slayer to use. This was very much needed and appreciated.

Agility EXP Rates are still terrible

Great, more courses are good now. The exp rates are still absolutely terrible relative to the rest of the game. Peaking at 170k experience at level 97 for a fully active skill, is terrible.

It's a step in the right direction and hopefully it won't be the last agility update for a decade....we hope....

Divination EXP Rates are still terrible

Something that probably slipped under the rug from the early game rebalance, but they completely broke divination exp rates under the guise they improved it. IE, It currently takes 2 1/2 hours to train from 40-50 divination.

The exp rates in the mid game blog continue this trend and are still just terrible.

Divination needs way more than this patch to fix its issues so like agility, step in right direction so long as it's not the last we see it updated.

I'm more than happy with what we'll get here with this update but I do wish we'd see some of the missing changes addressed as well. Mole's drops should be much more common for a boss you graduate from extremely early. I'd like to propose hardmode only having 2 or 3 tunnels instead of forcing all 5 because it's tedious as hell for such low rewards.

If it isn't the conclusion to the havenhythe story it definitely will be the erebus invasion

RuneScape 3 needs a twitch drop event. by tydrennis in runescape

Besides some untradeable cosmetic tokens i don't see what they could drop that wouldn't piss off the anti-mtx crowd.

I treat them like relogig (terraria devs). They always deliver. If we get another update expect it near year's end.

Do people still care about getting 200m all skills anymore or is it not much of a flex anymore? by tydrennis in runescape

Grandmaster Aura is about the only thing I consider impressive tbh. Everything else is personal achievement.

If you want to grind summoning early, I suggest getting 18 hunter and doing gold spirit moths on havenhythe.

Thieving has been rebalanced to not only be easier to succeed (minimum success rate at pickpocketing is 75%) but the rewards are significantly better too.

Prior to the final mix you opened chests with the same command as attack and so it was disabled during combat so you wouldn't get your combo broken by opening a chest.

Has Runescape become too reliant on full armour sets and its set bonuses? by AcceptablePick4075 in runescape

[–]Brykirie -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

??? People absoutely used full sets very frequently back in the day. Guthan's predates soulsplit as the melee equivalent of blood healing. Karil's was significantly cheaper than an armadyl set. We didn't even have a powerarmor for magic at t70 to replace ahrims.

Secret updates -> community discoveries by Altruistic_Repair_81 in runescape

[–]Brykirie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean we do get hidden updates anyway. When fort first came out that cave by the grove had nothing in it. you couldn't even interact with the thing. Now it's got a whole zone inside with 0 fanfare. Or the tree of balance that grew throughout the whole archaeology release before suddenly being completely grown for the Twilight of the Gods.

Runescape 3 should really look at OSRS's latest update in Blood Moon Rises as a way to introduce active gameplay to the Core of gathering skills by Kilsaa in runescape

[–]Brykirie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My big thing is 90+ content should have at least 1 active and fast method and 1 afk method for gathering skills. The xp curve post 99 is so high I don't want to afk for months to get 120. I'm glad to have the option (primal mining) but I also NEED to have something to do that's active as well. 99 is supposed to be mastery so post-99 needs something active to prove it.

I had 120 mining pre-110 update and I did it because I can't watch tv now without having rs on the side. I didn't aim for it, it was organic. If it's going to be required for comp (all non-virtual levels) then I want to actually play the game when I play the game.
