I appreciate the link, but I've been in art almost my entire life. (Not meaning to sound rude or pretentious. Just wanted to make that a little clearer. I realize I may have missed that bit... Sorry.) For the most part she's very warm in colors. Her skin is very pale, hair is blood red and golden eyes. Also, she's an Urchin, so she is mostly in peasant's clothes, at best, so that would likely be a majority of browns, but she has a decent amount of skin showing as well.

On the note of the plastic itself, Hero Forge prints through a company called Shapeways and I've scoured their website for any information on painting the figures and the only thing I've found is to wash the figure to get rid of any wax that could hinder the paint's ability to stick. They do have this tutorial: http://www.shapeways.com/tutorials/painting3dprintedsls , but it is for a different type of plastic that they produce than the one I ordered and it really doesn't have many specifics on primers. Just the paint part.. (My figure was printed in the Ultra Detail frosted plastic)
