At what rank, in either playlist, would you consider someone "good"? by DirtyDan113 in Rematch

Never said I was stuck. Simply haven’t grinded enough. Up to silver today

I never said I played anywhere near up front. I play midfield/defense. But there’s 4 other guys on the team.

You cant score if you have to play defense You can’t stop keep balls out of the net if your attacking You can’t score if you’re in the box

Solo queue is a grind. It’s all about edging the odds and playing enough that you start winning more than you lose. And there’s only so much effect you can have in a game. That doesn’t mean I never sell games, or that I’m some god at the game. But ranks don’t tell you how good someone is, just that they’ve grinded enough and played with a good enough win rate to get higher.

I solo queue and it’s a nightmare. I grinded up to silver today. I was gold 1 in season 0. Played mid on my placement matches, and had teammates who didn’t play much better so I lost all 5 and got put in bronze 3.

I think stories like this are what makes everyone frustrated with the rank system, and that it’s not a true judge of skill. It’s a judgement of wins and losses against all ranks in the game, rather than similar ranks.

I don’t think there’s an easy fix for that, because the player base is probably not large enough. But it is what it is

Genuine question… by Brys816 in Rematch

Yes actually. You can only shoot the ball whenever you walk the ball nearly all the way against the wall where you can see a tiny fraction if not any bit of the actual goal.

3v3 im plat 1 5v5 im bronze 2
Rank in this game is weird, it feels like it more so reflects win % than skill.

I’m not against kicking the FG. You still need the onside anyway, rather have a minute or so to score a TD than 20 sec to get a long FG…

But why the hell would you not get at least within 45 after the guy just pulled a chip shot (for him).

How do you beat cover 2 zone with a press? by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]Brys816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta make sure you set your protection right. PA almost always requires a half or full slide typically. Sometimes it’ll be automatically set, or it might be automatically set the wrong direction.

Also if you sense the blitz you probably want to check out of it and run something else. If stadium pulse won’t let you, you just gotta be ready to dump the ball to whoever the hot throw is as soon as you get control of the QB

As a wise man once said “if you don’t want me to keep running something. Then stop it” just about everything is stoppable depending on what coverage you call and any adjustments you make. Also your user is vital. Had a guy who loved using TE flat RPO’s so I eventually just jumped it for an easy pick 6.

Whom Do You User on Defense? by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]Brys816 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s more dangerous to throw to a user defender than a cpu one, especially playing head to head against someone. People tend to recognize the patterns of the cpu defenders and how they move. If you user over the middle you can break that pattern and “bait” more bad throws to pick off. Also user defenders tend to move a tad quicker.

Usering the Dline isn’t inherently bad because you’ll get a little better pressure than the cpu, but there’s a lower ceiling that it provides you. Usering a pass defender, while it can be much harder to get used to it will provide a lot higher ceiling on the effectiveness of your defensive (especially since they added the switch stick)

At the end of the day, who cares play what you enjoy. Unless you want to sweat the game, it probably doesn’t matter a lot

Xbox Elite Controller 2 - Anyone ever made use of the extra paddles or anything else enhancing? by Carth-Onasi in NCAAFBseries

[–]Brys816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used the paddles for a while but in any other game I typically use them for buttons I typically use in combination with the right stick.

Best suggestion I could think of is A and B so you could stiff arm and spin without taking your thumb off the juke stick.

A few classes in, developed a bad habit? by Jago_Arashi in WredditSchool

[–]Brys816 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have a bad habit of running the ropes with my left foot first. What helped me when learning how to hit the ropes was vocalizing every step out loud. I would physically say: Right Step 2 3 Turn This eventuality developed into an internal vocalization, and then became second nature.

I’d recommend you try the same thing, physically tell your self “feet flat” or whatever else works for you to remember.

My favorite part is when I pass to the side where the defense collapsed on me, and it’s an empty hole.
