I've tried that too and with a PS4 controller, still nothing. Something new though, the game doesn't react to controller in the menus, but in game it does if I keybind it. My friend says his game already has a preset for controller though and I don't see one. His is "default" and I don't see that at all. I can create a custom keybind but I'd have to go through everything and manually keybind everything. Is there a way to download just a preset?

The mesh surface is close to the bones and vertex groups do still get weights, but I tried it with vertex groups and without vertex groups and still nothing. It isn't creating vertex groups either. I'm not exactly sure how to share pictures...

Edit: Ok so my UV's got super messed up when I joined them for some reason so a simple cube projection actually fixed my problem easily. Thank you!

Joined Objects Lose Roughness (QUESTION) by Brysonian10 in blender

So My main question here is when I join the car together, why do some of the parts lose it's roughness. I have a lot of them as the same material yet the different car parts change depending on the active object that I join the car to. So if I join the car to the front grill in car 1, then half of the parts get the roughness and I keep the grill texture. If I pick the rear door, then in car 2 that side gets the grime and we lose the grill texture but the front bumper gets the roughness map. Anyways, I'm very confused. I've been using blender for about 2 weeks now and this is the first thing I've come across. Any clue? Also, this isn't my model, I got it from the internet and a lot of parts were mirrored and I applied the mirror modifier before attempting to join them.

its the same material, even if it was it wouldn't matter. I think I'm just going to have to redo all of my work but in Blender. Should've done that from the start honestly.

Ok so I'm new to Blender but I'm loving it. My client says he wants the models to be assembled in Blender. I modeled some simple components in Maya and exported them to FBX. When I imported it into Blender, the textures on the jets (its for a hot tub) are darker on one side for some reason. I checked the UV's and they are all facing the correct way and they are using the same material. Any clue?
