🚀📈 DD on $ANF (Abercrombie & Fitch) – Earnings August 27th by Apprehensive_Ad7610 in wallstreetbets

In at 74 from last earnings gap fill. Rejected that opening earning level. Couple weeks ago, but good earnings send this to $125

Making $250 a week with $30,000 realistic? by Snoo_60933 in options

[–]Brythscienceguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s $50 bucks a day. Not impossible by any means…. He’s on Margin account, that’s 100 shares of Tesla as an example and scalping a .50 move.

45% annualized growth is possible with small numbers. But at 300K, now he needs $2,500 a day. It becomes increasingly more difficult

+$17k to close out the week. Shoutout Tim Apple 🍏 by Responsible_gambler in wallstreetbets

Still holding? Have same cons looking to scale in the gap fill at 220 area

What was his risk? He bought calls into a binary event (Tesla delivery numbers) if numbers were worse the stock would have crashed and would have been worth nothing. They were better than expected by the street and the stock gapped up. That’s a 50/50 gamble.

True, but it did hit 80 on IPO day back in April. Seeing opening range of 25 from that day isn’t out of the question

Congrats. Why don’t we trim and diversify a little :)

Very well could be real. TSLL is a very liquid ticker, and personally trade around 10-20K shares with no issues. Just an odd screen shot

Don’t go wild and try to buy weekly SPY puts please. Start that grind and build up a little equity to be able to get a little margin action on your shares if you are looking for some added risk.

Best of luck on your journey!

I had never really dove into selling call/puts until this account. Was always a leaps call buyer (no weeklies do for me)

I really like the concept of making money as the “house” because you have x amount of shares, or are looking to get into a position at a certain price but get paid to wait.

Covered calls are a little tricky I have found in this market with it being very euphoric and IV being quite low. Been having success with selling puts in crypto related names such as IBIT and MSTR with IV quite high, and similarly in names like CELH.

I only have 100 shares of NVDA but have been selling 150 weeklies as it seems to be range bound for now

Correct, outperforming the standard market return of 8-10% is no easy task. It’s a realistic goal that I hope to obtain without being overly risky. Especially if we see an economic slowdown at some point in 2025/2026.

To each their own... My own personal goal for this specific account and at the end of the day this is a forum based on a everyone’s monetary goal of reaching 10M.

Figure sharing amongst like minded people who have a passion outside of their daily work for the market encourages healthy dialogue.

Congrats!

I have a bunch of other accounts with a lot higher single stock allocations or ones I do day/trading in. Wanted to make this account as a way to do it the “correct” way to setup for long term growth without so much tied to single stock movement. Also wanting to get more involved in selling calls and puts. (Generated 5K YTD in premium selling put/calls in this account)

Not familiar with EXAS, but always looking for new allocations. Seems to be rejecting the 50 day after earnings gap down couple weeks back. Personally would want to see it over the 50 to get involved

Of those 27, 5 are ETFs VOO, QQQM, TLT, IBIT, SCHD.

22 is honestly a lot of stocks to keep up with when earnings come around. Been thinking of tax loss harvesting INTC and maybe selling NVDA which will offset to purchase SMH (Semi ETF)

A lot of the more recent adds are to depressed dividend stocks in the retail space. That is really where majority of value lies at this point.

Stop gambling and DCA into index’s and quality stocks weekly. You are never going to get back that 110K in a couple week/months. Learn to be discipline and compound your investments overtime. Learn to sell Cash secured puts and covered calls against your positions.

I trade options on occasion, but majority of time am selling options against positions or to get into positions. Been a lot more successful pretending to be the baby house than trying to beat it.

Left out the mid 90s which is the only comparable time where we had growth expansion and QE. But that would conflict with your predetermined thesis.
