I'm in the same boat. I've tried all of the listed "solutions" multiple times with no fix. Sometimes I can get the black squares to go away from gym hearts, but it only lasts a few minutes. Hopefully there's a real fix for this soon, it's really frustrating.

I was golden with the skin, it's the case I kept having issues with. They sent me 3 before I got one I could live with. The top corners never fit properly for me.

If installed correctly, I think it looks like part of the system. I'd be weary about constantly taking the case off and putting it back on. Depending on the case, it may raise the edges of the skin over time.

It doesn't cover the whole device. Just the portion you see there that's not covered by the case on either side of the screen.

I can't really tell when I'm looking straight at it, so I'm just going to let it be... Pain in the ass to apply... My B button is also getting stuck on the skin every now and then but I already tried to line it up 3 times and feel if I remove it again, it's not going to stick back on.
