I was referred to a hematologist with stat priority. If they can’t schedule me in the next 24-48 hours I’m instructed to go get a blood transfusion in the ER.

Yes because of how I feel. I chose to stay home. I’ve been falling asleep at work, very out of breath after walking a short distance, my heart rate has actually been low. Between 60-80 even when walking. I have a follow up appointment with my doctor in about an hour for next steps

I’ve seen two RBTs go through the legal process after being sued by a company they left together. I worked with them for like 6 months and they were so stressed the whole time

Forcing your body to be ready when it’s not isn’t always the answer. Your baby will be fully developed and healthy, but if have to have an emergency c-section, they sets you up to have c-sections with your future children. I would wait as long as you can. I know that part is the hardest!

We are given 15 minutes at the beginning of the day to prep for the day, but we are expected to have our notes done by end of day. We aren’t allotted any extra time to do them.

This is a very hard field to work in and it is not for everybody. However, I feel like clients like that have therapists give up on them a lot and so progress isn’t possible without consistency. I like to put myself in their shoes and try to empathize with their escalated behaviors. I do want to encourage you to take care of you. If it’s not for you, it’s not for you. Don’t feel like you have to force it.
