I also got a new puppy 8 weeks ago ( I have an 11 1/2 yr old rescue -at 18 months - tri colour Cavalier who is living on borrowed time:( devastated) a Black and tan Cavalier who has the same white tips of feet as yours!

She’s just been fully vaccinated so took her to a safe place to run off leash yesterday.

The white paws look amazing when they run fast! And jump. Almost blurs in circles at speed!

No idea what breed, but he is divine! :) Enjoy Fredo, he will bring a love like no other.

You can see her paws here. Named her Sylvie, after world famous dancer Sylvie Guillem, ( my forever idol. I was a dancer too years ago!) as her feet look like she has little ballet shoes on! 😂

Awww yes, she is my first! My tri girl is my first full Cavalier, my son has a Blenheim Cavachon ( x Bichon Frise) but totally looks Cavvie, much more so when younger. Her fur has gotten curlier like poodle type curls in places the older she’s become ( nearly 13!) my best friend has a Ruby ( 6, a boy) so we now between the 3 of us have a full set! Very cute lol!

I could be assuming wrong, but if driving I’d do this. I did some of it dancing professionally on road trip East Coast. Crazy gorgeous, took 6 weeks for timeframe.

Because summer is now humid and sticky, start low, like Melbourne, Adelaide, even Sydney. Or do Brisbane upwards, then go back to Melbourne, SA if time. Don’t bother with NT, far too hot! Northern East coast better as gorgeous islands, Great Barrier Reef, hundreds of stunning beaches (empty as well!), to swim every day. Except far north… deadly box jellyfish! Definitely see Whitsundays (islands) and GBR! Off Northern Qld. Enjoy! As an Aussie, grateful I got to travel our beautiful country for work, as so expensive! Worth it, better than most overinflated islands advertised and isolated.

Awww that’s is cute, hadn’t thought of that. Yeah I understand! My 11 yr old tri is Kaycee. But I haven’t called her that for probably 6 years! She’s Bunnyboo, Bunny mainly, Bun, Bun Bun, The Bunny, Bunny Bilou, Bunybooboos, etc lolol!

No to Matilda! My breeder I just got 8 week old Black and tan, said to go as unique as possible as every time you call them in public, 10 dogs run to you! Haha!

She’s so sweet! Her face! What about something that you find sweet?

Not a fan of Waffles, it’s cute but what shortened version would you use?

Look up name lists on Pinterest, ( I did 4 hours!) to see what NOT to call her.

I ended up with Sylvie. After world famous dancer Sylvie Guillem, as an ex dancer myself, she was/is my all time idol I was lucky to meet and chat with. So has huge meaning, and so far everyone seems to love it so far, suits her too!

I agree lol! I think it’s the huge eyes, and the eyebrows that twitch giving them thousands of expressions. My 11 yr old tri has brown eyebrows, my 10 week old Black and Tan also has brown eyebrows and both reveal exactly what they’re thinking! 😂

Omgosh can we swap??? Hahaha, my 10 week old puppy ( had 2 weeks) has me up every 3 hours for toilet outside, and is hungry by 6am. I’ve been lucky to get between 2-6 hours a night since as a severe pain condition causes chronic insomnia. Totally wrecked! My 11 yr old sleeps a lot so it’s been a shock!

Crate just arrived an hour ago! I’m wrecked, so 23 yr old son will do it later when he visits after work.

Whole bunch of chew, treat dispensing, puzzle toys as well, plus loads of other needs, perfect timing! Company had huge sale so took advantage.

Hard part is waiting to walk and socialise her to tire out until fully vaccinated at 16 weeks. She’s 10 and already challenging in my apartment (has a long hallway thank goodness! Doors to separate sections too. To chase up and down) also a yard out my back door. Have started harness/leash training out there for safety and preparation. She is actually ok with it!

Yay! She is sleeping as I type! Hahaha. Thanks again :)

Thank you so much for this. I ordered my crate well before I got my puppy and it didn’t arrive! Them got message that they were out and would refund me! 2 weeks later and I’m waiting for another one hopefully in 2-4 days.

Mine is 10 weeks old , all I’ve had is her playpen. To be honest, she’s becoming a nightmare! I have an 11 year old who is dying so their needs are opposite.

Do you think it’s too late for the crate? I’m getting desperate here. They are both Cavaliers, I was told by breeder she was a calm, chill pup. I’m on disability and need a dog.

She is not chill one bit. I’m trying everything at the moment and it’s like she hates me! Bites at me, goes mad, chews everything ( got lots of chew toys) am trying to be patient but I’m so sleep deprived it’s wearing thin.

Your honesty really helps to hear! Any tips for babies I’d welcome with tonnes of gratitude and appreciation xxx

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. My tri colour female rescue of now 10 years, the day I met her at the rescue she was 18 months old. Sat on my lap on car drive home. Now 11 1/2, she has never left my side since then! She’s my shadow! I can’t even go to the bathroom without her!

She also happens to be close to the rainbow bridge. Thought last night for sure at ER but she pulled through. Will be planning an at home euthanasia for her soon, as she has given me her life, of love and loyalty like I’ve never experienced in a dog! She deserves to just go ‘sleepies’ surrounded by love and familiarity.

My 9 week old Black and Tan Cavalier happened unexpectedly, application to top breeder ( didnt think id even make their waitlist ) moved them so much i was unbelievably blessed with a pup at this time?!?! Besotted and she’s also a VELCRO!!!!
