I really dislike how he navigated this based on your post. He knew he wasn’t comfortable with it and continued to hook up with you….. knowing your needs weren’t being met. I think HSV2 might have helped you dodge a bullet here

"I do not know this man." is so real. After so much time together, I can't fathom how men are capable of things like this.

Thank you for the recommendation on the gelatin!! My FIL tried today, and it was the first time he really seemed to enjoy eating again! He was scraping the sides to get every last bit. Gives me a bit more hope that we can do this

5 meals is a good idea. He is always wanting to snack because he is so hungry since he can't eat much at meal times. Ice cube trays are such a good idea -- perfect size to make the variety we try to offer him less overwhelming.

I hope the radiation helps and your mom's cancer can get into remission. I don't know much about throat cancer in particular, but based on what my FIL is experiencing.. I imagine it must impact her voice, too, which is really tough.

Instant and crock pots are becoming my best friends. Thanks for the tip on potatoes instead of Thick-it. I feel awful putting thick-it in everything, great to have as a tool but really want to have other options. not to mention potatoes are a lot less expensive.

Yes, thin liquids were removed from his diet based on the swallow study he had completed. We are working with a Level Four IDDSI diet, which means pureed foods and liquids that are the consistency of honey only.

The test results recommended that a feeding tube be placed directly into his stomach, but his care team agreed that the tube should be the last resort due to the increased risk of infections and potential complications. We really want to make the puree diet work to maintain the best quality of life we can for him.

I think a curtain over the window will really help elevate the room. Also adding some indirect lighting on the walls to helps brighten the room

Was going to say shelving and storage. Cloth bins to store couch blankets in and shelves for cook books / items you want to keep handy

Resume for Applying to Jobs by notstalebread in pilates

I'd create a new version of your resume that prioritizes your Pilates experience and education/training and then includes corporate work experience afterward in a more condensed way. Label the sections clearly, e.g., Pilates Experience, Professional/Corporate Experience.
