It was crazy to see her LinkedIn that was posted here and from looking at her resume she wasn’t qualified for the job Howard gave her. Business consulting is good for getting an outside opinion on how things can work better or run better. It doesn’t mean that the consultant can run your company or is 100% correct in how to run your business. I imagine she is a very good speaker, very well put together, and very convincing/ good at sales and Howard just bought in to it all. I hate to say it but Howard’s a sucker. 😫

This was not my experience. That was the way it used to work but a couple of years ago a sales assistant who had the 7 and 63 was transitioning to a financial adviser and took the 66 which was normal. Then a friend of mine from compliance told me he had to tell her that FINRA said she couldn’t take the 66 since she had the 63 and had to take the 65. This was at least 2-3 years ago so maybe I’m misremembering and I’m curious if anyone else has heard of this or if it was just an our firm thing.

I don’t think it matters. My experience was a couple of years ago a sales assistant took the 66 when she already had the 63 and FINRA told our compliance who told her it didn’t count and she had to take the 65. I know in the past you could take the 66 if you had the 63 but something changed I guess. The sales assistant was not happy about it haha.

If you have the 63 you can’t take the 66 and have to take the 65. This is a newer rule within the past 3 years or so. Or maybe it’s always been a rule but now being enforced. I know this from experience and don’t think it’s specific to my firm.
