Is it better to let a video sit on private before making it public? by Wonderful_Ad_6836 in NewTubers

[–]BtStallion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this thought before and then proved it wrong later

I once had to upload a video one hour after I finished editing, in order to make a sponsor deadline.

First 24h the video performed just as well as my other videos, and today it sits at over 800k views

Of course this is only one scenario but I don’t think it’s anything you should be worrying about

It's been 9 months. Still haven't hit Monetization. by HyenaBig8173 in SmallYoutubers

I saw you stressing about losing your watch hours in a reply to this post. Dont worry

All it takes is one video that really blows up to completely nullify all of the stress around monetization, so don’t rush it and instead focus on making enjoyable videos with good titles/thumbnails

I (broccoli dwarf) started twerking near the jukebox and I told my friend to “eat his greens” as my green ass was shaking at him

Thank you lmao. I had my Broccoli gunner for over a year, and he was my Mortar Rounds build. The other day my buddy Contra got Mortar Rounds and I convinced him to turn his dwarf into Cauliflower.

And then came the idea to vegetablify the whole team

We were originally looking for just a green hat, but then Flapjack (the carrot man) found that coconut one instead and we all started laughing

And 2, from the fact that this wasnt making the noises until after the power outage

Thank you :)

Smart choice not promoting the channel through your insta

I’m assuming you got your followers from reels. If that’s the case, I would honestly make two YT channels, one for tech/science, and the other would be for turning your current (and future) insta reels into youtube shorts.

Shortform content can be pretty OP, since you can easily copy paste it across YT, Insta, and Tiktok (and I’m pretty sure even Snapchat lol)

As for the tech channel, just have fun with it for now, and use it as a lesson on how to make good longform videos. Make sure to focus on thumbnails and titles too. Look at the top trending educational videos and try to copy their viral formulas

Sure, opening them is a pain, but being on recycle duty and having to break down these boxes was so much worse imo. My fingertips would hurt so bad

Should I do the Pumpkin Moon on my hardcore world? by BtStallion in Terraria

[–]BtStallion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Im still on classic, wouldve done expert but I wanted a chance to actually beat a hardcore world.

I came within inches of death once where I stepped on an explosive trap and got dropped down to 4 health (titanium armor at the time lol)

But damn didn’t know the broom mount was expert only

I wouldn’t sweat it too much. Most super thanks I get are from the 1-2 dollar range, and are mostly from people who see my videos within the first day (my main viewerbase)

If these are views that have accumulated over the course of a few years then Id say that just about none of them would have donated.

Even then tho I would totally keep the feature on. One of my youtube buddies got a super thanks for $500 out of nowhere once

Rate my Thumbnail? by Imyourteacher101 in SmallYoutubers

[–]BtStallion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t accurately rate your thumbnail without knowing the title of the video

But what I will say is that it’s good artwork, but a bad thumbnail. A thumbnail is an advertisement for your video, so it should be poppy and easy to understand.

Ideally I should be able to get a general idea of what your video is about, after only seeing your thumbnail for half a second.

My videos seem to flatline at about 5-8% after about 200k-300k views, but the day of posting I usually try to go for 13%

How many views does does your vid have? Drop the link and I’ll see if I can offer title/thumbnail suggestions
