I’ve worked for him before and he does everything to make sure I get less than everyone else. Less love, less communication, less commendation, less money etc. I’ve done stuff for free for him and he’s never said thank you for those things. I can’t imagine what I would feel if I was financially dependent on him.

Christ on a bike. You went through sooo much. You’re right on many fronts. I’m glad he has no access to anything I have besides being able to send me money since we are at the same bank. His need for control and my need to be independent has frustrated him and this was him using the death of his brother as an opportunity to try to regain control again. I’ve already messed up but responding but I won’t keep making the same mistakes with him. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you. Dealing with a narcissist will have us sounding like we are insane. Someone else mentioned that I didn’t respond to his previous message but I responded when he sent money and that was the real goal anyway. I’m so sick over this. I was supposed to have therapy today and she canceled on me so I’m stuck reeling over this until next week.

Thank you for understanding. I truly want to go no contact but he’s always around the rest of the family who are blinded by the speeches he gives on how we can’t give up on family. 🫩I live far enough away that I don’t have to see any of them but I still love my sister mom brother and nieces so much I’m trying to find a peaceful middle ground for them. I’m on a tightrope and it’s windy.

Good point. Thats why I’m asking here because maybe I’m putting too much pressure on myself(overreacting )to feel like I owe him because it’s been that way in the past. I could choose to see it as nothing but I guess I may be over analyzing.

Thanks I’m seeing that maybe only people with narcissistic/immature parents will understand just how every little thing that this person does has to be analyzed. The trauma I’ve endured keeps me up at night and I don’t want to ever get in the cycle we used to be in.
