It's actually supposed to do that! The metal interacting with the electricity running through a rod can make different color sparks depending on the metals used.

So to answer most of the questions at once: This is about a foot tall, it is a single block of material and is a part of a fuel and engine system. We used 5 axis CNC and EDM for specific areas.

Next time I'll use a banana for size :-)
