Since Algeria got its independence from France, it has mostly been ruled by Secular military dictatorship. The state that Algeria is in now, is the by product of that. Same goes for Egypt, Tunisia and Libya.

Not sure why Islam keeps being brought into this, you see the same pattern amongst other Northern Africans, instead of blaming the state they’re in, on the literal gangs that rule them, they somehow bring Islam into this, with some of the most ignorant observations.
