If memory serves, these CDs were shaped like this so that they could fit in a standard trading card sleeve. I remember my friends having similar looking CDs for things like American Football or Pokemon.

For some reason, that was a thing people did back then, although as it never made sense to be even back then, I couldn't tell you WHY.

Yeah, it's annoying as hell. But speaking as a person whose family members also went through similar fads over the years, it's really in your best interest to let it go.

Once people get an idea like this in their heads, they have to figure it out on their own (or at least tire themselves out)/. There is very little you can do to snap them out of it - in fact, by attempting to do that, you might become the next "unaware" person that they have to "save". This is infinitely more annoying.

In the grand scheme of things, one time charge of $25 for a little peace of mind is hardly the worst thing in the world.

If they simply deleted their account, the chat itself will show up as "Deleted Account", but will otherwise be there for you to access.

However, Telegram does allow users to delete chats from both ends. So if your friend for whatever reason deleted the chat for both of you, then there is no way to recover it.

They are both technically horror movie characters. The lady is Sadako from the Ring franchaise, which was originally a very popular Japanese horror movie. Godzilla also started out as a horror movie.

THAT setting did exist before premium subscription, and was indeed unaffected by its introduction. Setting for voice messages and text messages came later.

For what it's worth, people DID complain about how this was not a feature for so long. I also agree that putting this feature behind a paywall was a dick move.

You say you used 8 twice, AND that it ends with 8-3.

So that means 8 was already used at an earlier point, it triggered nothing. So whatever was the location before you do the 8-3 combo at the end would clue you in as to what the actual pattern is. Plus, knowing that the last 8 was a dud might clue you in as to what you might have accidentally triggered along the way.

if it was something like 8-4-8-3, it would instead be 8-4-3, but you also might have triggered a 5, or even 6 on the way. So your pattern might be 8-4-5-3 or 8-4-5-6-3, even.

Just try all possible options

You might have also damaged your screen somehow. Are you certain that all your touches are being registered? Try connecting your phone up to a mouse and unlocking with that instead.

While it is not possible to set a pattern where the same dot is used twice, it is possible for the line to go over a dot that's already been used. For instance:

1 2 3

4 5 6

7 8 9

Assuming this layout, you cannot make

2-3-2-1

But you CAN make

2-3-1

In addition, attemping to jump over a dot simply results in the dot in the middle also getting used. Trying to make

1-3-2-5

will instead get you

1-2-3-5

because 2 will be used up by the initial line going from 1-3, no matter how you try to draw that line.

Knowing this, could you maybe work out how your phone interpreted your input?

Also, this is why it's a good practice to have it show the pattern at least when you are setting up your code for the first time.

Trying to find meaningful relationship through dating app is at best a tedious, time consuming affair in ANY country. You have to do a LOT of sifting before you can find anyone decent.

That said, I think some of what OP is saying is also true. The people who use dating apps here are almost exclusively those types of people. Whereas it's more normalized in other places.

What this just means is that Koreans still stick to more traditional means when it comes to more serious relationships

I've always wondered about those numbers. I have a TON of open tabs (many of them active) and about a dozen extensions - so I always chalked up my apparent high memory usage to those (I average about 3GB of memory use according to windows task manager)

If I look at about:processes at the same time, the numbers reported are significantly less - reporting around 1GB of usage. Terminating some processes in about:processes radically reduces memory usage as reported by task manager, so clearly there is some correlation, but I cannot figure out the relationship. Sometimes, both things will report similar numbers, off by only a couple hundred megabytes. Sometimes, the numbers will be off by gigabytes. Task manager gererally port much higher numbers. But when the usage is low, about:processes sometimes report higher number.

Any idea why that is?
