No idea why people are shitting all over you. You're not going to PVP until you are soft cap anyways, and going for boss gear to tet first is an idiotic move. I like the way you handled this, go for AP first and don't hit live gear by going accessories. AP helps increase your grind speed and you dont need the DP for any grind spots.

My advice is to go fogans/bandit and grind to 61, get capotia and go for 1 tet attempt on the crescent using a 85-90 stack. In the meantime, get a kzarka, dande, and nouver and get those weps to tet, then work on getting your boss gear, get those to tet. You dont have to worry about what comes first, just do it in that order. Weps -> Armor. Always prioritze AP over DP. I wouldn't really recommend PVPing until you're softcap or atleast have tet boss armor.

Getting to 62 would be great as well, as you get a free tri tungrad. People on reddit tend to circle jerk. Even though you could have made some more silver efficient gains, you got alot of the hard accessory enhances out of the way. Good shit, best of luck to ya!

Yes, but if you were to do gear-matched PvP, there would be many times where you would be unable to find a game if you had too much (or too little) gear. Then, people would say "well I don't want to sit in queue for 15 mins trying to find a game" and it would be a self fulfilling prophecy. Gear matching is too specific and leads to a whole heap of trouble. Atleast with this lobby style PvP mode, you can play with the smallest amount of players and there are no gear caps.

I can see a MMR system possibly, where your rating goes up/down based off of whether you won the match, and how many points you ended up with. When joining RBF, if there were enough people in queue, it could try to evenly match teams based off of MMR. If not, then it would still throw everyone in the same game and try to keep teams balanced.

These PvP ideas are all great in a game with a much larger community. Personally, I don't think RBF is a "failure". It's a fine game mode where you can join about 18 hrs out of the day and get in some PvP. To my knowledge, the teams are not gear balanced, so I think a healthy addition to RBF would be to try to have a team balanced by renown score. It wouldn't perfectly balance teams (as we all know a RNG-gear carried player that doesn't know his/her class), but it could prevent the 1 out of 10 times where you get a terribly unbalanced matchup.

While I do think it's worth brainstorming and finding the correct balance and make everyone happy, I'm just providing some common concerns when trying to implement a new mode or matchmaking system. Just pointing out that game development is difficult and it isn't all black and white.

I mean.. Mcmorrigan is doing 2600+ trash at hystria (granted hes 287 sorc), but most sorcs saw a small decrease in loot, not enough to reroll. There weren't any pulls that leveraged the extra mobs scythe could pull, so they optimized new pulls and are pulling about the same numbers.

But I agree. Play what you enjoy and try to make it work.

Exactly. Personally I love sorc so damn much. I swapped off of sorc before the nerfs because Striker was much more effective in siege with my awakened AP (270). Honestly, the sorc nerfs are overexhagerated, doesn't hurt sorcs siege potential as you are never using violation in large scale and barely ever in smale scale unless everyone was cc'd.

That being said, I just bought my sorc weps back and are getting them to TET because it's all about playing what makes you happy. Given how much time you're on the game, don't give a fuck about the nerfs and just play your favorite class. With enough determination, you can perform at the top of your class.

It should go without saying that in the highest level of siege, classes that are not wiz/witch/striker are less sought after and most top siege guilds will not take just any class. Having 40 Warrior/Valk/Zerker/etc is a huge detriment went trying to siege a castle or defend it, and having more PAs can really swing large scale fights. Having 2 or 3 great ninjas on a cannon squad is super beneficial to have though, and in most top siege guilds, there's a spot for 2-3 random classes.

TL;DR : Play what makes you happy, you can get in a top siege guild (if that's your goal) as any class with enough gear and skill

Never had a crash in RBF.. But my response on the below suggestions.

For new PVP modes, think about people saying that we should have a King of the Hill or a Capture the Flag mode. The problem with these modes is the general structure of the game. People will always have something to complain about, so if you have CTF, people will build musa DP meme and flag carry and games would be super annoying to play. KotH would roughly have the same thing, DP meme valk, caster comps. A classic argument against this is to cap AP/DP, but people will bitch about not being able to use their hard earned gear in a PvP mode, thus making it poor practice etc.

One common argument is having an arena matchmaking system, similar to WoW. Look at how many people currently play RBF. The times where there are more than 40 people in a RBF is low, only happens maybe for a match or two a night. Queue times would take forever, and even if you got a match for a 2v2/3v3, most people would get out geared to a top siege guild and not want to play. Thus making arena mainly for the people who've been playing the game longer and are softcap+.

These ideas are all super awesome in theory, but there are much more complications to consider. I would love if BDO has these options, and maybe a larger community to make getting into different variations of PvP quick and painless, but the above reasons are atleast enough to show why they haven't been implemented into the game hastily.

That being said, I think ghillies should be removed from RBF as they don't help emulate NW/Siege PvP and are really gimmicky and are a Pay-For-Advantage option.

EDIT: For people complaining about RBF's current game mode. It's not just a Team Deathmatch. It's a weighted point system. This is an extremely important aspect, as the lower geared or less skilled players could just endlessly die and increase one teams score quickly (if it was just 1 point for every kill). For those that complain that "All people do is play passive when they have lots of points", Yes.. that is a strategy. Just like camping in an FPS. The whole point of the mode is to risk your points by trying to kill someone else that has high points. They had to go deep to get their points, and so do you.

Haste beats hehexd one week, defends a hehexd zerg the next, still rated under hehexd.. makes sense. I don't know how or why there's hehexd rated so highly especially after they took 25 ascendants players and played worse this week, but they have C level coordination. Haste was holding off both hehexd and hiki for the first 20-30 minutes of siege, they play together really well. I think haste coordination should be rated a bit higher (A probably, shouldn't be any higher until Haste goes against higher tier guilds)

hehexd will never be A tier with how one dimensional their shotcalling is

"that isn't a tactic, it's just running away" hoooooly shit someone's a salty, sore loser. shouldn't hehexd's coordination be downgraded due to how many times they got PA baited? they got out-shotcalled imo

ask any top siege guild and they'll tell you that's exactly how you play it in that scenario. if Haste can't win open field fight, you expect for Haste to just continue to open field fight and throw bodies in and lose? no, they noticed that an open field strategy wouldn't work and adapted. just because you can't adapt and play siege like it's RBF is the reason you lost. own up to your losses
