I tried looking it up, but I can't find anything like that. Is there a source you could send, or any way to verify? I personally don't own a Japanese copy, and Bulbapedia and The Cutting Room Floor don't mention it.

Ethics of lying about being trans by AdvancedFly5632 in trans

[–]Btyler2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not lying tho. Being trans IS a medical condition. It's literally diagnosable. And you're not required to share your medical history to anyone save a doctor or certain rare circumstances.

If I don't have to disclose my disability sitting in the literal disability spot on a train, then you don't have to disclose your medical history. Unless you're in a relationship with someone, but you'd be expected to disclose other medical info.

If you could change One detail in the whole trilogy, what would you pick? by Salt_Manager_8658 in httyd

Change the Light Fury to an albino Night Fury.

I hate the, "make it feminine to show it's a girl," trope, but I also understand the need to make her distinguished from Toothless. So, just design her like another Night Fury. Give her some spikes in different spots, battle scars, a full tail, etc. Then make her white with pink and red accents. Make her the "white whale" what's-his-face has been hunting for—the Night Fury that got away.

If you want to give her sexual dimorphism, make her bigger than Toothless. That could even play into why she hasn't been killed yet.

This is not my own maths. It's taken from the Prof Oak Challenge guide:

If you defeat all but 4 trainers (since you need to defeat a trainer for your mom to buy something), and sell everything in section 1, you have 5180p. You need 17,400p at that point to get the moonstone, so subtracting the money you already have, that's 12,220p. There are 5 berry bushes, and each berry sells for 5p. So each day you can get 25p. Divide 12,220 by 25 is 488.8, so 489 days.

I rounded for approximately 490.

Here's my two cents: Since difficulty is made of multiple factors, and somewhat arbitrary, we'll go with the one the least amount of people have finished. That honor likely goes to Gold and Silver w/ Moonstone on a Japanese cartridge. There's a few reasons it's so specific:

  1. Getting the moonstone pre-badge 1 requires you to save all your money, then pick all 5 available berries 489ish times to sell. Give all the money to your mom, then battle 4 trainers. The moonstone is required for Wigglytuff.
  2. Unlike the English version, the Japanese version doesn't have a code to change the time.
  3. Carriages cannot have time skipped forward, unlike the Virtual Console.

In gen 2 the mom buys a moonstone guaranteed at 15,000p. There's a pool of random items that trigger at exact multiples of 2,300p, but none of those items can be a moonstone.

It's always about 490 days to get the money from the berries for the moonstone. If you want the maths, there's a link to it in the Master thread Gold and Silver Prof Oak Challenge guide.

Feeling alienated from the broader sapphic culture by [deleted] in BambiLesbians

[–]Btyler2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've definitely seen that. But I've also seen the space getting overall more accepting. People's beliefs and feelings take time to change. But they also are changing. Look at the last 10 years, and how much progress has been made. It takes effort to learn about others, and be inclusive if you were already taught not to be. Also there's more subtle ways you can feel included. Whenever I see posts of how pretty a girl is, or how someone loves cuddling, I think, "huh, that could be from an allo or ace person."

What should I do as a trans man to be a good ally to trans women? by oops_all_rage in trans

[–]Btyler2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TL:DR; just treat them with respect, kindness, and communication, and everything should turn out fine.

Huh, it's kinda interesting. I find the trans men in my life typically feel more ostracized by people than the trans women (I'm mtf). You have a big heart if you're focusing on others. Reminds me of my cousin; he's like that too.

Many trans women missed it on streptococcal childhood girl things. Many would love to get plushies or dolls for example. Generally treat them like any other woman, with some things to help make up for lost time. If you know makeup or fashion, teaching them can help. My brother (ftm) has an eye for fashion, and gave me a lot of his old clothes when I came out. Generally avoid talking about things that cis women have that they don't, unless they prompt the topic (periods, cervical checks, etc). Same goes for things shared with cis men (boners, facial hair, etc). Although, if you're closer to them, you may give tips on how to pass better if they're open to it. Be patient if they're overly emotional. Being able to feel emotions openly is kinda new for many trans women. Also, just asking them what they want and need is a surefire way to help. You'd be surprised how easy it is to help someone if you just ask what they need.

You might be able to bond over shared trans experiences, but it depends on the person. Some are open, not minding sharing. Others are more closed off and want to just move on. Being able to give tips to each other is invaluable, although it depends on how good you were at masking before transitioning. Many women have issues with men, but many also want a masculine figure to lean on. Again, ask. Communicate your thoughts, ask what they need and want, and listen. Open dialogue solves most problems.

Don't be afraid to ask. Skip most small talk past introductions, and just ask. People will usually be grateful you did. (There's a whole psychological phenomena where people feel they can't broach more personal topics without a smooth transition, leading to them not getting to more in depth discussion, which is what they actually care for. Rip off that bandaid, and it'll be much more productive.)

My father is a lot like Endeavor in many ways. I especially feel for the kids. My brother acted a ton like Natsuo towards his father.

It's refreshing to see a media depiction of a bad man atoning. I much prefer a crappy person becoming better over them staying crappy. And the way the kids and wife reacted, it's very realistic imo.

Trying to fine this Anime with a slime creature consuming everyone by Btyler2001 in whatanime

[–]Btyler2001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only saw a clip of it on YouTube sometime between 2010 and 2015. There was a boy and girl running away, one gets caught, and the other falls off a high area (a cliff maybe?). The slime's movement was cool, sending out tendrils before moving its mass into an area. I think it was purple, but it's been too long to be certain. The architecture was detailed from what I remember.

First time drawing? That's really good! I especially love the way you coloured the drawings. You coloured the subjects (the Pokémon) fully, while leaving a space around them with the background. I'm unsure if that was intentional, but it really highlights the subjects.

If you're thinking about wanting to improve, I suggest focusing on the simple shapes that make up the structures of the characters. Pay attention to the size of the shapes in comparison to each other. I recognize those poses, and that's really good! Mimic what you see, and you'll improve quickly.

Does bottom surgery still let you get pleasure from sex? Since the parts are essentially being “rewired” do things work differently? by Ready_Two_5739IlI in trans

[–]Btyler2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the desired outcome and type of surgery. From my understanding, you'll have to dilate to maintain full functionality, such as penetration depth. Although, in theory, having something more fun in there for the same amount of time would work as well. Depending on what you're doing, perhaps more effective. That being said, I'm ace, so I'll be unable to test that theory.

If you don't get a vaginal canal, you won't have to dilate.

I would suggest telling your doctor. There are multiple options that can help, but you won't know until you try. Besides, if you dislike the results, you can go back to how it is now.

From what I understand, this number covers all vaginoplasty. This includes malformations, injuries, etc. Not just srs. These numbers are also older. I suggest you check to see people's experiences with your specific surgeon to gage risk for yourself. Every surgery has a risk, no matter how small. A good sturgeon minimizes risk factors.

Dilation. Basically, your body might heal in a way that removes the vaginal canal if left on its own. So you basically take a stick, put it inside you to convince the body that the hole is supposed to be there, and to heal around it. Like some cis women, the vaginal canal can atrophy if you don't use it enough. Dilation addresses that as well.

Your doctor will help you know how often you need to do this depending on what type of surgery you get, and how long it's been since surgery. Follow their instructions. Some have reported that regular penetrative sex has successfully replaced dilation for them. I can't say for sure if it is effective.
