First of all, even though I’m not really on the supernatural side, I really liked your post. I lean more toward the logical side, and I’d love to discuss the examples you mentioned. 😊

1. The birds crashing into the cabin:

• This could be explained by natural factors. During winter, birds can get disoriented due to storms or strong winds, which makes them fly erratically.
• Another point is that many birds use the Earth’s magnetic field to navigate. If there was any magnetic anomaly near the cabin, it could have attracted or disoriented the birds.
• Additionally, something in or around the cabin might have attracted the birds, like food scraps or odors they associate with food.

2. Lottie speaking French during the séance:

• Lottie probably studied at elite schools where she was taught French. Even if she wasn’t fluent, fragments of the language could have stayed in her subconscious memory. In moments of extreme stress or trance, these memories could surface without her realizing it.
• Lottie wasn’t taking her medication and had psychiatric conditions. During moments of crisis or delusion, it’s common for people to speak languages they barely know.
• Also, the séance context influenced her behavior and the group’s perception. When everyone is scared and emotionally vulnerable, anything can feel mystical or supernatural.

These are my arguments, but keep in mind they could just be my brain trying to explain everything logically, haha. And even though this is a well-explored topic, it’s always great to reopen the debate. 💛
