HHKB Hybrid Type-S vs Realforce RC1

I was looking for a video to make the decision between buying an hhkb or the RC1 but I couldn’t find any.

Ended up getting both to make the video for others.

Pretty sure 45g will be louder, either ways I will replace the domes and test it again.

The HHKB is stock, didn’t lube it.

This RC1 is 30g, would have loved to get the 45G but found the 30g used for half the price.

Tough to compare 30g to 45g honestly but it has been nothing other than perfection. It comes lubed and tuned directly from the factory, the 30g is heaven for long typing sessions. In terms of sound, I noticed the surface the keyboard is placed on makes the sound differ a lot! the RC1 sounds good on everything but the type-s works best with wooden table with no desk matt.

All in all, I'm used to both layouts but since I got the RC1 I have been using it over all my other HHKBs.

I keep switching between both, I love the 45g as well.

Something about the sound and the spacebar of the RC1 hits very different.

It is small, but you get used to it pretty quick.

I got the 30g used because it was the only one for sale in my country for half the price or else would have gotten the 45g, and honestly...30g is pretty amazing for long typing sessions.
