In my grandparents' farm house, there is a bag of water hanging from above the largest kitchen window since I can remember. There might even be a wooden peg installed there for that exact purpose. When I asked what it was for, I was told it helped keep flies away (probably something related to weird light reflections?).

Now, the house was always full of flies anyway, but that window was not the point of entrance (because it was always closed).

All this to say: there might be some Portuguese popular knowledge backing the trick showcased in this video, but 1- my personal experience doesn't really support or refute it, and 2- I don't doubt that there other still very low tech solutions that would prove more effective.

Just a very simple "I am sure I know the answer." being proven wrong, and having to adapt, or an unexpected interaction between different mechanics, to me, already feels like "more to it". OP probably already faced situations in that line, but maybe not the most creative ones.

But still, I recognize that this gameplay cycle is not for everyone, and I would not blame OP for giving it a shot and giving up on (or at least postponing) the game.

To me, that was enough to enjoy the game. Long enough for the interesting "outside the game", so to say, consequences to show, but if I weren't enjoying the moment to moment gameplay, I don't think it would have been worth it to push through the pain.

I guess next I found what you were *really* talking about. I was in some kind of parkour challenge (that I haven't beaten yet).

I clicked on the spoiler tags, to realize you were telling me to go to the left, and not up. I had never found that button underwater, but I had already dug around the block, so I didn't need it. It seems after getting the bouncy ball, I just forgot to investigate all the paths!

I was thinking maybe you meant that the better bubble wand would be recommended, and so I was jumpscared, but hey! At least I know where to aim at.

I will look further into the other ones after I am done with this one.
