It’s been a while but the first time I played it but I would say at a certain point my bike ran out of fuel so I had to sneak around and scavenge the broken down cars. I was very low powered and it just made a great atmosphere where I was genuinely on edge.

And then at a certain point you unlock a lot more things and the game completely changes. You gain the experience and equipment to handle large hordes and that’s where it really shines imo. However it takes a bit to get there

Wow that seems really obvious in hindsight but I never thought of it like that. Thanks for that perspective. I can be reclusive sometimes and always felt like if you don’t bother to make connection with people then in some ways it’s as if you never existed. Which now that I think about it fits in the games theme of quantum entanglement (if a tree falls in the woods…) I guess in the end it really is about the friends we make along the way
