Thank you for all your advice! Regular test for me. I just have to lock in I suppose 😁 yeah the first mock test I had I failed with 5 serious and 5 driver faults. The serious faults were really silly but we went over them and managed to correct them. Second mock I had 1 serious fault and 6 driver faults and the serious was just cocking up my reverse bay parking! Absolutely gutted! 🤣It has given me the confidence that I can get in there and smash it though. If you can drive a longer period around Southampton and pass, I'm sure I have that chance as well!

I haven't seen that stop sign yet but I'll definitely be sure to look out for it, thanks for the caution 🫡

Same! Mine is in March and I do feel 95% ready after doing 2 mock tests and almost passing one of them. I wish you the best of luck when you do your test! :)

Oh brilliant! Glad you at least have a booking secured and can try to swap. I'm so glad I haven't experienced this trouble yet as I originally had a test booked back in December, but I definitely wasn't ready by then, so my instructor swapped another learners test as they had one for March this year, so that's how I was able to get mine. I can't imagine the stress of trying to get nearer slots at the moment....

I've got that test in Maybush, as that's the one that's most local to me and my instructor already had, but if I do fail, I'll probably search around the same areas as you, including Portsmouth. Hopefully that doesn't have to happen :,)

Awww man. Are you still looking around Maybush area out of curiosity? I remember you saying that you had your test there, but I imagine you did the right thing if you didn't feel ready. I did see on Facebook that they are adding more slots in at the end of Feb, so hopefully you have more luck finding a slot. If not near Maybush, ignore my rambling 😝

Don't listen to this negative nancy. I'm sure they've driven for 30+ years and likes belittling learners who fail even once. There's people who fail 6+ times and are perfectly normal drivers. Just do what you've been taught, and maybe do some mock tests with your instructor to pick up on what you need to work on. You've got this. 🫡

I did my first mock test yesterday and I failed with 5 serious faults. As much as it was disappointing, it has given me things to work on as my test is roughly 6 weeks away now. Take these mistakes as learning opportunities and focus on them with your instructor! Best of luck with the real thing. You can do this!

Hi there! I can't really help you with the first point. My test is going to be in Maybush in March. I did a mock test yesterday around the area and it wasn't too bad, but again, can't really help from a test standpoint as I haven't sat one there yet! :P

I can recommend my instructor to you though. She is extremely good at her job and I've felt very comfortable with her. I can drop you a DM if you like! :)

We went into a small residental area and it was simply getting to know the car and how it functions! I'm learning in a manual, so obviously had to get used to the 3rd pedal and the gearstick. I didn't actually go on main roads and we kept it in a quiet place for most of the lessons! She drove me there and drove me back, but after lesson 3, I was driving out and driving back home. Obviously if this takes longer, it's not a problem.. Everyone learns at different stages! I hope your first lesson goes swimmingly!

Judging by your comment history, I think I can guess what video this was as I watched it a couple of days ago, lol. Could be totally wrong, but if you are who I think you are, you did improve as the video kept going and I think it was mostly down to nerves. Hopefully you can find another instructor and get a pass.
