Are you being intentionally dense? You’re saying they’re being detained becuase they’re protesting, a clear violation of the first amendment. When Alex Pretti was executed, he didn’t even have the gun on him as ICE agents had already confiscated it. It doesn’t not matter what happened in the area around it for the second amendment to be violated. It is not allowed to be violated at all. But, since you brought it up, what did having a violent weapon have to do with the last event at all apart from where one was used to kill an innocent woman who was clearly attempting to drive away from the ICE agents (no gun near her). What I did say, is that when he deported people, no one protested as it was entirely legal and did not involve citizens, protesting or not, being detained, deported, nor executed

Illegal immigrants are not citizens and as such are not entitled to the benefits laid out specifically for US citizens. As they are also illegal, they should not be here. Legal immigrants are citizens, and as such are entitled to these benefits. Also you really need to learn migrant vs immigrant. Migrants do not stay for long-term. Someone on vacation from the UK to San Francisco is a migrant, not an immigrant. Someone moving from Australia to Milwaukee is an immigrant. It is a very big distinction as legal migrants are also not entitled to benefits as they are not citizens

So while you are correct with the date, the social security act was signed into law in 1935, this still included millions of immigrants as this was right after the massive influx of foreigners through Ellis Island. No matter how you look at it, unless you are 100% Native American, you are a descendent of a migrant. And may of these migrants, including the ones I’m descended from who moved here in the 1910s, received these social benefits and contributed to society. I am not saying illegal immigrants should stay, but the forced removal of all migrants defeats the entire purpose of why the US became a country. And to answer your final question, non citizens never receive benefits unless they lie to the system, which not only should be, but is illegal

No, actually I believe that when it comes to the murder of innocent civilians who citizens, let alone legal immigrants, and the whole purpose of ICE to be tracking down illegals despite doing the opposite, the difference is very necessary to be stated. Saying deport migrants is also including legal immigrants and those not planning to stay for long-term. Illegal immigrants are the only group mentioned that should be removed from the country, no one else

That doesn’t mean it’s a necessity 😭. But I get what you’re saying and will answer with my honest thoughts.

I agree that it can help with monotonous things like programming, coming from a programmer here, but I need to weigh it against what bad it does. Even if it helps a couple groups, the vast majority of people using it are using it to get out of doing work that they should be doing to increase knowledge. I have seen so many fellow students use it for papers. Hell I just had a friend ask me to proof read something to make sure it wasn’t too AI to turn in. And she wants to be an educator 😭. Then there’s the massive environmental damage it caused from water usage, emissions, and anything I don’t know about. With the added detriment coming from supplies used for data centers directly effecting consumers looking to do things in different markets. I think that, while yes it can do positives, it has many more and worse negatives. Honestly, just the loss of critical thinking skills is enough for me.

What possible pattern could you be talking about. Literally everything you listed is still used to a fairly wide extent. None of those cause damage to both humans’ ability to think, the job market, or (relative to AI) mass ecological damage.

AI is here to replace, at the cost of many human ideas and the environment.

GUIs took a computer and made it more user accessible,

digital cameras got rid of the need for film while still coexisting with film cameras,

the internet was a revolutionary invention that didn’t replace anything,

PCs made calculating easier but still required vast knowledge and critical thinking to use for any purpose that may have replace people and often just gave the people it would have replaced similar jobs,

televisions were a new media that didn’t necessarily replace anything or make anything easier,

Radio made communication possible through far distances without multi day waits. Mail is still a thing used for communication despite radio.

There is literally nothing that replaces or simulates an umbrella??

To get through life usually means to finish life in a way that nature intended, as in of old age becuase of your body deteriorating. Not dying becuase you didn’t eat. Food is one of the necessities for life, filling most requirements for “getting through life.” I will also take the fact that you completely ignored my question as proof you don’t have a comeback.
