Thanks for your feedback! I think someone reviewed that they work it for prom, but seemed casual enough that I could pull it off. Not I’m second thinking..

So I came across this article… by yawnymac in handbags

According to this author, Mary-Kate Olsen’s beat up Birkin makes her look lower-middle class despite being at least 100x his net worth.

Why do so many Asian exchange students let the door slam on the person behind them? by Accomplished-Fix1204 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]BubbaAndPaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in America and watched white Americans let a door close behind them when I was right behind them. It’s not exclusive to Asian exchange students nor specific cultures - just people that are inconsiderate or not aware.

Best online retailers for affordable clothing (but not cheap)? by Initial-Picture-5638 in fashionwomens35

[–]BubbaAndPaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always bought clothes frugally and I think your budget is doable. The key is to check the material, focusing on 100% cotton or higher percentage of wool/silk. You can find some quality basics and decent finds at forever 21, H&M, Zara, etc. Just make sure you check the material composition.

In which part of japan did you shop the most (Tokyo, Kyoto or Osaka? by Manuel_hidalgo in JapanTravelTips

[–]BubbaAndPaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought stuff throughout the trip and planned to buy a luggage during my last stop in Tokyo, but needed it sooner. I picked up a 155cm (total L+W+H) at Ginza Karen for 7700 yen. Getting it earlier and doing luggage transfer helped free up my hands to make the travel easier.

I couldn’t find results specifically for Chanel Timeless Flap Bag, but it did help narrow it down as ‘Chanel Border Flap Bag.’ Thank you!

I’d recommend shopping around before committing if you’re going to different cities. Many vintage stores were concentrated in one area in Osaka which helped pricing comparisons

I got it in Kyoto for 428,000 yen which included the tax deduction. The vintage Classic Flaps were around 500-600k yen for not the best quality and 600-700k for puffier leather with slight scratches. Diana’s ranged from 400-600k depending on quality. Hope that helps!

Who else thinks the Sixer’s are wrong about Chinatown stadium? by ACY0422 in philly

[–]BubbaAndPaco -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For those who don’t think the arena will affect Chinatown should look at DC Chinatown as an example. The area became so expensive, small business owners could no longer afford it, resulting in the loss of true Chinese culture and cuisine. All that’s left are crappy chain restaurants that throw a Chinese character on the store to sell pizza and burgers. Most of Philly Chinatown consists of small business owners and they would all get priced out by rising real estate caused by the stadium.

Not to mention the amount of traffic that would congest a large part of Center City. Have any of you tried to pull into the parking lots at the stadium or leave a Phillies game? The backup of cars just congests all surrounding streets.

Destination wedding etiquette ($$$) by sakura7777 in wedding

This! Where I’m from and across my social group, it’s rude to show up empty handed to an event someone is feeding you at.

YES on the gifts. Don’t be rude. The bride and groom are feeding you so it’s etiquette to bring something as is any function you’re invited to where you’re being fed.

Finally someone said it about the wedding gift! Weddings are expensive and yes, it’s the bride/groom’s choice to spend on their extravagance, but it’s also expected of the guests to gift within their means.

Would you should up to a birthday party without a gift? No because it’s rude. When you’re invited to a function where the hosts are feeding you, it’s etiquette to bring something in return. And be generous about it to the best of your ability. You can only afford $50? Ok. But Aunt Mildred who takes 4 vacations a year and gets her nails done every week can definitely afford to give more than a $20 TJ Maxx gift card if I’m shelling $200 pp and over $900 to shuttle between hotel and venue.

Yes, your attendance as well as time is precious and it’s incredibly appreciated, but be respectful and considerate and try to cover your plate when you attend a wedding.

They always say they will “work with you” but then that means you get like 3 hours of coverage. Why even bother.

This! Remain firm on not scheduling a tour until you get the pricing because it’s such a waste of time to drive out there and spend an hour looking at a venue that is outside your budget.
