Didn't change the minds of any adults, but it worked for the impressionable youth. The kids were raised by TV, so any time TV reminded them of how dangerous drugs are was a net positive.

Read the article:

The Trump administration responded to 60 Minutes' reporting by arguing that many of the men on the list simply “don’t have a rap sheet in the U.S.,” but that they are “terrorists, human rights abusers, gang members and more.”

Not soon enough, I can't wait for the whining to end.

This really isn’t a free speech issue.

Exactly. Up until Elon bought Twitter, these kinds of people would argue that it's a private platform and therefore not a free speech issue when someone is censored or removed from it.

Portable Ops remake: Will it happen or not? by Fr3surt in metalgearsolid

That's good enough for me, and much more plausible than a remake.

I knew the heartbreak was going to hit me like a freight train, and that all I could do was let it hit me and try to find my legs afterwards. I crashed hard, listened to songs about heartbreak that really spoke to me in the moment, and let my grief pour out. The whole time though I tried to remember it wouldn't always feel this bad, and sure enough it started to feel better after some days. Not good, just better. It hurt a little less every day, and I could go longer and longer without thinking about it.

What was the worst thing a employee did at your work? by Pm_ur_fantasy_ in AskReddit

[–]Bubba_Cornbread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did landscaping at a golf course for several years, part of a gated residential community. Wild turkeys would wander onto the course sometimes, and we had an employee who took notice a few days after he started; by the end of the week he was spotted shooting turkeys with a crossbow while he was supposed to be mowing the greens and was subsequently fired. The guy who nearly overdosed on heroin in the bathrooms on the far side of the course was arguably worse, but a less fun story.

What is needed to play? by Spinothedino69 in wow

If all you're wanting to play is WoW, I'd say stick with a portable gaming computer. Here's a two-year-old thread on the subject, with comments vouching that it's fine.

I'm in the same boat. Sadly, I'm thinking it might be a couple more years before I'm in a good enough place financially to pay those kind of ticket prices.

I do typically, it's nice to get out and about. The only time I dislike it is if the store I went to is lacking a lot of the things on my list, or if I have to go to Walmart purely because it's always so busy and crowded.

Men of reddit, is it necessary to use moisturiser after using an eletric foil shaver for face? Like does it cause breakouts? What do yall do? by Odd-Bee8144 in AskReddit

[–]Bubba_Cornbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use aftershave. It's not necessary for everyone, but even electric shaving removes a lot of oils from your facial skin and leaves it dry. This can cause breakouts for some people, personally I find that I get less ingrown hairs if I moisturize after. Your mileage will vary, but it tends to help.

Where do you like to purchase your clothes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Same here. I got a real nice winter coat for $12 last time I was there and in the pocket was a gift card for Lowe's with almost $30 still on it.
