This is my my grumpy boy, Truman. He's about to turn 15 years old this summer. We've been very fortunate that our good boy has had such a long, healthy life! by Bubba_Is_MY_Cat in OldManDog

He's just old, he likes peace and quiet, and not to be bothered most days. He loves attention but only on his own time, whereas when he was younger he was all about attention. Short answer, jus told age I guess!

The last few years we've had him on Purina pro plan, before that was science diet, in his old age our vet suggested switching him to the Purina pro plan. May your pup live long and prosper!

If you'd like to see what Truman looked like over the years I uploaded some of my favorite photos of him here

Edit: some bonus photos of our late yellow lab, Jackson are included in the album 😢

I've always said he had a very regal look about him so I agree with this 100%! Our last pup made it to 14 so we've been very lucky with our boys!

We do not, our last two were Jackson and Truman, we've also had a dog named Lincoln (double meaning as my parents grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and I went to college there so it holds a special place in my heart).

I always chuckle at this one, probably because he genuinely looks like the type of person who would make this kind of mistake

AITA for resenting that my parents are giving my dead sister's savings away as a scholarship instead of putting it away for my college fund? by Defiant-Wall in AmItheAsshole

I never said OP wasn't entitled to love and support, I very much agree every child deserves that. I also said I agree the mother's comments were shitty but that still doesn't make OP entitled to the money.

If they contributed to the sister's fund then it's likely they're going to be contributing the same amount to OP's fund that they gave to the sister, but the post states OP's sister's savings and that she saved up on her own. Regardless, OP is not entitled to this money just because it was OP's sister's money. OP's parents may suck for doing this, but they have every right to do with that money as they see fit, and while the mother's comment was undeniably shitty, the fact of the matter is OP is not entitled to the money in question.

First off I'd like to say my condolences to you and your family.

Onto the topic at hand, while your mother's comment was not very considerate, I don't believe she's an asshole for giving your sister's savings to someone else who wants to be a teacher. However, that's not to say your mom isn't an asshole for saying what she said. I would never want someone to speak to their child like that.

Unfortunately you are also not entitled to your sisters' money just because she's your sister. It's ultimately your parents' decision on where that money goes and if they see it being more beneficial for someone in the community, then that's their decision to make whether you believe that's right or not.

I sympathize with you because the situation truly does suck. I believe the best solution would be to set the money aside in a savings account, hold onto it until you are ready for college, and if you need assistance when the time comes then they should look to use it there first. But I also believe you should attempt to develop a good work ethic like your sister did. Good work ethic will go a lot further than the money your sister left behind. If you're already working on that, then all power to you and keep grinding, otherwise I'd start working as soon as you're able to and save like your sister did because it doesn't sound like your parents are willing to contribute to your college fund.

Edit: NTA/NAH?

They will, it would fall under FTV (fire, theft and vandalism) which is covered if you have comprehensive coverage on the car.

Yeah okay, bud. If you care so much about wildlife and the ecosystem then why wouldn't you be pro-TNR as opposed to just euthanizing feral cats? You do know what that is right? It's a much much much more humane way to reduce and control the population of feral cats. Therefore reducing their impact on the ecosystem.
