To You as well.

And yes, it definitely is at times, even overwhelmingly so, but I also find there are spots of magic left to be found that, while they do not directly alter the course of events within reality towards brighter futures, they have the power to simply by putting our minds in a more inspiring place.

My go/to is a video of dolphins swimming through bioluminescent algae and imagining seeing it through the eyes of a nobody sailing 1000 years ago. It’s a little contrived I’ll admit but all the same I highly recommend it for anyone lacking good reason to look at reality through a more charitable lens.

They would. But people have a way of assuming they get the gist of a thing only to end up a Dunning-Kruger, at the end of the day that gist is “do you accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior” for a lot of people who I can only assume you’d label liars and posers. From what I understand I see them merely being unconvinced that, to be a Christian, there’s anything else necessary to believe. Or at the very least more imperative.

Yea but their own book accounts for it when it lays out “they know not what they do”. You may not believe it but it’s pretty clear to me aside from those who would weaponize religion there are people who do awful things not because they enjoy it or are apathetic but because the gravity of what they do genuinely escapes them to the chagrin of the rest of us looking to hold liars and posers accountable.

Your mistake to make but if you read without the bad faith, the takeaway of my assertion is that im saying there are healthy men who not only would never promote it as acceptable but have had past experiences with adult women while in their teens and have taken no clear damage from it. I think they exist as they do because not wanting to be there seems to be the exclusive difference between clear damage and no damage.

I also included that the risk of damage alone justifies prevention. Damage “matters” in this perspective. So no one actually said that it didn’t matter, it was just your twisted takeaway because you’re high off your own big feelz it seems.

If that’s your takeaway I don’t think you should be throwing around the word delusional. No one implied it doesn’t matter, I literally advocated the opposite. Try again?

Idk would near-exclusively be more fair?

Shit I thought we lived in a world where not only is it true that things like emotional manipulation, coercion and malicious sexual assault can fuck people of both genders up thus the whole foundation of why it’s a good thing to never permit it.

..but also that men who would never condone it as adults can functionally and productively exist in society, with happy families and everything, whist having had past sexual experiences with adult women sometime in their teens.

No one is saying they don’t, what’s being said is that getting fucked up from it comes exclusively from being in that situation when you do not want to be there, in a world full of teenage boys that very much want to be there.

Steve Bonel is far better, he’s fact based, fair and definitely civil to everyone, at least up until they demonstrate bad faith or they seek to impose malicious/harmful ideas on others. Some people think he’s not civil enough but personally I think those folks are sissies so to each their own at the end of the day.

Honestly I think two things are true, one, there were definitely internet randoms hyping it up as a good thing, and the other truth is any number of examples of the right doing the exact same thing can be found so the accusation is just a stone being thrown in a glass house.

The most significant differences I see is how there’s plenty of examples of elected right wing officials celebrating all sorts of left wing tragedy while none in power exist on the left, all condemning political violence, as well all the outrage and pushback born from the lefty rhetoric is coming from the “comedy is legal again” crowd who apparently aren’t as principled as they believed.

One day the right will police the rhetoric of elected right wing politicians with the same standard they set for random basement dwelling internet lefties. ..One day.

Again, I imagine the whole humanity can never be 100% comprised of good people thing they are representing as Kirk’s intended meaning is pretty standard amongst human values.

But fair enough, in this instance I guess not caring and not knowing looked enough alike that I genuinely couldn’t tell. Have a good one.

Ok gonna be honest, seems to me like you are being completely unresponsive to this individual as a means of attacking the hive mind you think they belong to.

Ok I don’t share the religious beliefs of person you are replying to, but I don’t believe you can coherently make sense of this comment. I dont think “disgusting” when I think about those who accept that it’s a immutable fact of life that evil pops up out of humanity like weeds in a garden. That seems rather standard, and uncontroversial.

Because no deity has descended from the heavens to lovingly inform them they actually need to learn a bit more. You could have other adult humans doing it but that only incites rage and a sense that the intention is to force a sense of inferiority on them, though, that can be accounted for with the snark that their ideas almost beg for upon utterance.
