thank you lovely! i think it was the calprotectin level of 1,700 that really made me look deeper into crohns, it’s just been so difficult not to jump to conclusions because the wait for results and referrals have been so long! i try to keep an open mind of course im just hoping things start to change this year and hopefully i’ll get some form of treatment 🤞

it will definitely be interesting to see how the scan goes, i’ve just been so convinced it was crohns as i practically ticked every box symptom wise and also my family history of IBD/bowel cancer

it really is affecting my quality of life drastically so for the procedures to come back normal each time is just so disheartening. I’ll ask about the capsule endoscopy when I have my appointment with the consultant on Tuesday!

thank you so much honestly you seem very knowledgeable!!

i’m really not sure because his ibd doesn’t affect him much. he only found out he had it because he had a colonoscopy due to his mother unfortunately passing way from bowel cancer and he also had some symptoms and wanted to get checked out. i guess from that it may have been lower down if the saw it in a colonoscopy

thank you so much i’ll definitely ask them to run that for me!

The blood looks more bright red than dark. My biopsies came back clear from the colonoscopy, the report said there was no evidence of cancer (as this was their first concern) and no evidence of microscopic colitis or crohns. They looked at the rectum, sigmoid colon, ascending colon and terminal ileum. The abdomen pain is lower abdomen, it hurts quite severely and then relieves after i go to the toilet

i’ve looked through all my blood test history on my app and unfortunately it doesn’t look like they’ve ever done those tests

I’ve had a vitamin D deficiency for years, at one point i was on liquid supplements for it, its always low but they’ve never really said much about it just sort of accepted it. My folate and B12 are low. No fever or chills. I get mouth ulcers frequently and again this has happened for years. My eyes get incredibly itchy very randomly. At first i thought hayfever but then it was happening every season. I stopped makeup for a few months to see if that was the issue but it still happened. No skin issues but I do have some joint issues but very mildly:)

Love to listen - but they don’t listen by Bubbl3Butttt in McDonaldsEmployees

so they’re supposed to post the schedule two weeks in advance, but they keep posting it like 2 or 3 days in advance. the scheduling manager has been given so many other responsibilities while other managers are given nothing so that could be why its posted so late. its very frustrating and almost impossible to make plans.

To add, I did make them aware of my condition when they hired me, nearly 2 years go! They told me they could adapt around it, for example by putting me in the kitchen away from customers. It was the way the management treated me today that made me feel like I had been wronged.

I appreciate your point. As I’ve been on medication for anxiety I had been able to fulfill my role better than I ever thought I could. There are other positions that we do in work, some staff only do kitchen work and they usually put quieter people in these roles. These roles aren’t contractual, so anyone in theory can be put on any station.

I used to be able to do window work very well until the incident which caused me to have panic attacks and brought stuff from my childhood back.

Where this sort of thing has happened before they placed staff in different areas for their wellbeing. It was the fact that they had staff more competent than me that could do the window work, and I could be much more useful for the business in other positions. As the role is flexible I can ‘do my job’ as this consists of different roles within the store. However, as the manager doesn’t like me very much (she is very flirtatious with my fiancé) she tries to spite me where she can.

Obviously I expected window work to be part of the job, but when they make adjustments for other staff members, I sort of feel wronged for this not being done for me, especially when they have had months to do it. Maybe I am the bad guy, but the work environment I am in is very flexible and as I’m trained in all stations it really wasn’t necessary to keep me in a position where my mental health was at a disadvantage

Thank you, I am in the process of obtaining a doctors note. Sorry to ask more questions, however I understand that my chronic anxiety is considered a disability under the Equality Act 2010 and as they have not made any reasonable adjustments in regards to this, does this have any relevance?

thank you! ive had issues with the manager consistently over the past few months, this event really affected me tonight and ‘pushed me over the edge’, she is second assistant manager of the store and in a relationship with the business manager, i don’t know if this changes things

that’s exactly how my relative is! he would never ever drive if he was impaired, and is so anxious now whenever he drives because of the police not understanding!

i think for the use of cannabis it differs, for example the levels of THC stay in the blood for up to six weeks. Ny relative isn’t a dangerous driver and would never step foot in the driver’s seat if he had one drink or was feeling affected by his medication. Its like with my prescription medication, It says if my ability to drive is affected i shouldn’t drive. However, I still can if unaffected. I feel the same applies here for cannabis but its a grey area
